I just bought one of these full BedRug liners and I sure wish this guy would install it for me. He knows what he is doing and he is very meticulous about it. Thanks for the tutorial.
Received mine this evening, they are flat in the garage for tomorrow. Once the sun comes up I will lay them on the driveway for a couple of hours to get them malleable and then installation.
Do you have to lift the rails at the end in order to get the edge of the rug under it? You should have shown how you did it. I broke one of the clips holding it on already.
Why do we do with the extra material between the tailgate and bed? I feel over time it will break down with all the opening and closing. Should the extra material sit up or down in the space between?
How does the bed rug & velcro stickers hold up against Texas weather? (Spontaneous rain followed by dry humid heat) Also is it ideal if you dont have a bed cover? Thanks.
Justin Function: We are in Florida, so with similar weather, we understand your concerns. This product will hold up nicely to both heat, humidity, rain, you name it! It will function well only or under a tonneau cover.
This seems like a nice product but only if you keep your truck bed clean. I have a plastic bed liner and I have spilled oil, paint and other chemicals back there (accidentally) that would probably ruin this.
This is a common misconception, Bedrug liners can not be stained or damaged by oils, bleach or other chemicals due the the fact that it is made from recycled battery case fibers. It will prevent the liquids from sloshing around the bed and instead keep it contained in the fibers until you are able to spray it out. However if the cleaning of the liner is a issue for you, I would suggest taking a look at the Bedrug impact liner, the bottom of the mat is a solid rubberized floor.
I noticed you were conserving the Velcro tape wisely. Would industrial strength Velcro from Lowes or Home Depot be appropriate to use for this? I think I will go get some more to be more liberal with it. What width is the Velcro you are using?
Thanks for the kind words! The hook and loop fasteners for the BedRug are extremely aggressive, and I've never needed to supplement it, however, if you get something, it's about an inch wide. The main key is to perp the painted surface with isopropyl alcohol.
For the full BedRug, you need the adhesive promoter kit: realtruck.com/p/bedrug-spray-in-adhesion-kit-for-bedrug-liners/v/ford/f150-lightning/2022/. If you get the Impact or XLT BedRug Mats, they come with a couple adhesive promoter wipes in case you are going over a spray-in. Hope that helps!
RealTruck.com I have the bed rug I purchase from you guys which has the J Strip attached to the tail gate. I just ordered a tonneau cover for it, will I have to remove the J strip for my cover to work? Or is it depending on what tonneau cover you have?
Can anyone comment on the velcro attachment longevity...especially on the front and rear of the bed where the bedrail doesn't cover the top...My concern is that water will get behind the bedrug and affect the attachment..
I’ve used the same BedRug in 2 different trucks for years. I’ve spilled (large amounts) of gasoline and diesel. The BedRug stays in place and holds up even during pressure washing Dawn detergent into them. Good preparation and cleaning will get you an outstanding product

Is yours a 2019+? Mine doesn't fit right, the company admits it and they still refuse to refund my purchase.
Love the edits leaving out the pain of zipping the thing together.
You could tell what parts are a pain just from the edits. lol
I flipped mine over. The 2nd half went twice as fast as the first.
Did you notice the huge amount of fabric getting caught in the tailgate? @bedrug knows it's a defect but keep selling them anyway.
Super helpful tutorial. Went in easier than I thought. Product is high quality upon initial inspection. Thank you!!

Just put one in on my 2018 today and this video made it easy thank you so much!
The product for 2019+ does not fit right. Don't buy it or you are stuck with it.
Can the rug be put on top of the plastic bed liner?
Thank you so much, had great success because of you!

Prevents ingress of dust through that tailgate gap.

Will this work over a bed with a sprayed in liner? I feel like the adhesive won’t stick on spray in liner.
Same thing I'm wondering 🤔

Would you recommend using the plastic strip or not for the bedrug with a Truck Cover USA American Roll retracting tonneau?

My truck was sprayed ..do you think it’ll stick together ?
Hey Carlos, you'll need the adhesive promoter kit. You can find it here, realtruck.com/search/?q=BRZSPRAYON. Hope that helps!
Great video, thanks for taking the time!
Is this set up available for 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 with Ram Box, 5.7ft bed? If so, where can I get it?
Please confirm. Thank you
Does having the rug between the tailgate and the bed affect how it closes?
They're pre cut to each differently model so theres no problem with over laying anywhere.
Yes.. mine binds up. Just installed it today.
Is a bed divider compatible with a bed rug ? Thanks in advance
Can you install the Bed rug if you have a spray in liner??

Does the bed needs to be wash and clean before installation
Will the “J-clamp” not work with any roll up tonneau cover?
S P: Not really quite sure what your question is. If you elaborate please, we would be happy to assist! Thank you!

How can i install it on a surface covered with herculiner? Greetings from germany
Treat the liner with Orina de Gato, I found some locally but I'm sure you can order it. Helps immensly.
