makes me laugh and cry....I saw them on this tour while all my friends were going to punk gigs...just the best...and Jaco had an incredible presence onstage. Got my programme signed by all of them too.....
Jaco joined the band for the Black Market studio work & when later they needed a drummer Jaco recommended Peter, since they were "cut buddies" for several years prior. Everybody on this stage is a master musician & the world has beneffited greatly from their collaborations.
HOW DO YOU NOT LIKE THIS!? eRSKINE IS KICKING ALL HELL OUT THE SKINS ON THIS ONE! Sorry about the caps, I got a bit carried away. The whole band is on top of it, and Jaco, on the one as usual. Love it!
This was the only jazz band (maybe Return to Forever also) that was ever as huge as some of the best rock bands ever like Led Zeppelin. They actually could've played on the same bill as some huge rock band and the fans would've absolutely loved Weather Report too. There would've been none of that "What the hell is this shit, man?" As a matter of fact, they probably would boo when the rock band came on stage.

i love these guys. brings tears to my eyes watching this video.
god bless the person who brought this footage to the world
That's a nice sounding drum kit and playing.
Li ho visti e ascoltati il 16 Luglio 1976 allo Stadio Dall'Ara di Bologna!!!
Memorabili!
Weather report, "the perfect storm of true musicians" man, they were truly great!
I finally found out that the start of this song was sampled by Tribe Called Quest. Love both of these jams. Long live Weather Report.
This is my favorite Jaco groove.
Hear that man. Jaco's a true autuer. Hes the man. I miss him.
There is only one description for the band and the music...
Perfect !
I humbly get on my knees...

Acuna joined 1976 ( with Pastorius ) for percussion on "Black Market" , became the drummer live after that.
i cant believe they play a music like this in 70's awesome!!

They are all exceptional players but Jaco truly carries the tune with the groove that is a continual force!
