@@RocketShipRadio star wars is a space opera. space is a setting and an aesthetic for them. i'd actually say this story is closer to a philisophical poem. it's certainly written by somebody who has no clue how the human immune system works which is kinda a shame. humans have one of the most complex immune systems of any living thing on earth. countermeasures and defenses layered on top of one another. compliment proteins, macrophages, networks of dendritic cells coordinating adaptive immunity and memory cells ready to activate if we ever encounter the same threat again. we even have adapted responses to contain anything we can't eliminate in barriers made of immune cells.
@@ymmijx6061 You are right. Star Wars is a space opera. And the human immune system is quite complex, indeed! Thank you for the comment breaking everything down. I did, long ago, learn about all this in biology. 😄
A majority of our total resistance is from beneficial bacteria. Bacteria has a chance to adapt one generation every 15 minutes compared to once every 20 years or so optimizing your symbiosis. While our active defense scoops up destroyed cell remnants targeting anything that was found to be the same as the remnants found in the body that can include the body itself.

"Genetic purity and planned evolutions path" that is the reason you have defenses weak as wet papel.
This comment made me laugh. 😆
Yup. The danger of monoculture.
@@snidecommenter7117 And genetic selection as an species level.
Science fiction, should have some sense of science in it.
Bah! Tell that to Star Wars. 😁

Thanks for that insightful comment Joe Schmoe! Never thought I'd be learning science through a UA-cam comment. 😉
So, vaccine.
Captions better... story, meh.
Understood. Thanks for the feedback!
