      i agree but to achieve bestter results currently just use area lights wiht super high intensity and shadow decals to substitute

  • @RyawnProdu
    @RyawnProdu 4 роки тому +13

    Awesome. Yet again TM needs to focus their attention on having better shadow support within the program itself. There are numerous hoops one has to go through to get a solid interior render. Such as using PS, or adding decals for additional shadow details in the program itself.

  • @jamesgoodman2931

    Good job - yes Twinmotion needs a better shadow system and painting extra shadows goes against what we all know. But it’s speed is incredible. I use UE4 and 3D Max at work for an events agency. Twinmotion is the fastest tool I can use to get stuff out the door in hours with a very acceptable and often decent standard. Not everyone needs the ultra realism of traditional renderers. At the end of the day it’s about what tool gets the work done when you’re working in a fast paced commercial environment.

    It would be too good if you don't need to create those shadows manually. :(

    • @romeishka
      @romeishka 4 роки тому

      I see that shadows was added just for showing more realistic picture, if to do them in more accurate manner, it will be more realistic... I don't understand, why some of you want to spend so many time (and to lose some nervous) with settings setup in rendering software, if you can do it very easily and so quick in PhotoShop? PhotoShop was created exactly for editing pictures and to give them amazing view and save time on it, so no need to create a bicycle again....

    • @jixal
      @jixal 4 роки тому +2

    • @jixal
      @jixal 4 роки тому +3

      @@romeishkaYou said you don't understand why people want to create a whole image in the rendering software rather than composite it in.
      It's a waste of time to try and paint shadows for a moving video in AE or PP when the software should generate them properly.

    • @romeishka
      @romeishka 4 роки тому

      @@jixal It's just was rhetorical question (no need to answer to it... ;) )...
      How long his took to create shadows on picture? Only few minutes... How long you can spend for setup it in rendering software? Hours, a lot of hours... With the video same, just if you don't know how to do that fast - not mean that other will spend a lot of time... I understand that on video redactor it's more difficult to learn, but here we talking exactly about static picture and PhotoShop, not about video...

    Veo que el programa no crea varios parámetros que deberían ser automáticos, cómo las sombras proyectadas y su intensidad. Colocarlas manualmente para luego modificarlas al parecer propio y no a cómo estás deberían ser, no es muy práctico. Hacerlo manualmente es un procedimiento muy largo y tedioso (Si es que se quiere hacer bien). La idea de estos software es que ellos mismos creen matemáticamente estás respuestas. Falta mucho por mejorar. Pero se abona que lo están logrando cada vez más.

    Area light is reflected as a plain, for mirrors it is critical issue. If you lower reflection in light's properties, the purpose of area light is gone. The reflection needs to be transparent. Also, could have used omni light with 0 reflection to cast those shadows at the end. Finally a suggestion for future- add post processing sliders in the app itself, clarity, sharpness, highlights etc. So little needed.

    Actually really disappointed. Revit LT 2021 is capable of shadows and ray tracing on its own. TM is good for entourage, landscape, plants, walkthroughs, animated features... placing and adjusting materials is a nightmare in TM as well. I want to like it, and it is great for atmosphere and final images, but you should NOT have to draw shadows manually.

    not really a tutorial more of a montage, there's no explanation as to why you're doing things, and I've never seen so much effort have to be put in for shadows and lighting and that was BEFORE that post-production horror of drawing them in yourself. Good rendering engines can literally just have a HDRI and one global light and have better lighting, TM needs to catch up and fast nobody will ever choose this if they have an option.

    I hate all thes 1 room in a box tutorial. No real world case has that. You usually have a house or building with many units and rooms that you want to render in multiple angles! you can't add 50 fake lights to each room just to get a decent looking render!
    If this is a real software for architects and designers you should show real tutorials.
