An explanation of the bizarre hotdog throwing tutorial:
There's an old geometric probability problem called "Buffon's needle problem" which approximates, given a surface made out of uniformly sized boards, what is the probability that a needle dropped onto the surface lands on one of the lines between the boards. In the article this is a hotdog landing on one of the tape lines. The answer to this problem involves pi due to angle math, related to calculating the angles at which the needles could possibly fall.
You can create a "Monte Carlo" scenario out of this - a method in which you collect a set of random results to approximate something deterministic - by reworking the answer to the problem to instead solve for pi rather than solving for the probability of the needles falling on the lines. This just involves simple algebra. You can create a confirmation bias situation by selecting very specific lengths for the objects being dropped (hotdogs) and the spacing of the boards (tape) so that it's extremely likely that the results provide an accurate approximation of pi, specifically aiming for 355/113, a fraction which is accurate to the first 6 decimal places of pi. Of course, throwing hotdogs on your kitchen floor is both a waste of food and not truly random, but that's beside the point.
This is not very useful as a teaching tool as it teaches NOTHING about pi, Buffon's needle, Monte Carlo, or even confirmation bias. It would only teach any of those things if one took the time to explain what I just explained in even greater detail. Playing out this hotdog experiment with a child would only leave them confused and make pi seem like some magical arbitrary number. Regardless, the hotdog throwing simulation is a surprisingly well established "experiment" with history beyond this WikiHow article.
As an aside, you could forgo the tape entirely and instead only use the hotdogs to replicate Zu's fraction, which is that 355/113 approximation of pi, attributed to Zu Chongzhi. He calculated it all the way back in the 5th century by building an approximation of a circle, using sticks to make a 24,576-sided polygon. This was essentially a physical proof of the Liu Hui algorithm, an approximation of pi using polygons created by an earlier Chinese mathematician. I believe the WikiHow article alludes to this by mentioning building a circle around your house out of baguettes. Replicating this exactly would require 24,576+ hotdogs... but it would actually teach WHAT pi is, a ratio of the circumference and diameter of a circle.

I have a bladder disorder. The preventing bed wetting is because many people are “holding” their pee even in small amounts and that constant stress on your pelvic floor makes you relax at night and piss the bed. Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and you’ll have better control over it

Hi Jack! Just read the pi article, that is how works. Pi shows up all over the place in mathematics, in probability, and infinite sums and all sorts of places. There is a circle, or properties of a circle that are hiding in that experiment that just aren't apparent, like majority of the places it shows up in math.
Editor really nailed it on this one, really enjoyed all the little edits which made it even funnier. Jack though remains himself

The Pi estimating one works, if the lines are as far apart as the hotdog the odds of each hotdog intersecting a line are proportional to it's angle which should be completely random.
Since there's exactly π radians before it's basically back to where it started(since it's the same either way up) the odds of it landing intersecting a line are approximately 1/π.
Obviously though this only really works for hypothetical infinitly thin hotdogs, but for an approximation it does work.

It's because they didn't want to spoil the big twist of Ocarina of Time. Also, Sheik isn't an actual person, it's a disguised personality Zelda used to hide from Ganondorf. She disguised herself as a guy with magic, but Zelda herself still identifies as a female, so Sheik is female. It's a little confusing, I know. Just imagine a future Zelda that Link wasn't there to protect, so she had to train her own skills in order to survive, and she put on a fake mustache to hide herself(from Ganondorf), but switch the mustache with magic and that's basically Sheik.

I actually saw the frog article. I have way too many mosquitoes in my backyard so frogs would help a lot with that. There's also info on how to build nests for bats and obviously birds. Way better than mosquitoes.

That hot-dog pi thing is actually valid. It doesn't have to be hot dogs though. So long as whatever you're throwing is roughly line-shaped and the tape-lines are the same distance apart as your projectile.
