  • The new Samuel-de-Champlain Bridge between Montreal and the South Shore of the St. Lawrence River was opened on June 24 (north-/westbound) resp. July 01 (south-/eastbound) 2019. About one month later I was able to film this masterpiece of engineering. Sit back and enjoy.

Awesome video! I went over this same bridge on August 7 heading southbound, and it looked so much better than the old bridge!

Glad to see you back producing videos. It's hard to believe that your last video was produced over a year ago.

For those who're wondering about the roadworks on A-10: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9seau_express_m%C3%A9tropolitain
The roadworks after the bridge are related to the Turcot Interchange project.

@@mtlnascarfan Just like how the Mercier is actually the Honore-Mericer bridge but no one actually calls it that.

For the record: the full name of the bridge (Samuel-de-Champlain Bridge) is mentioned at 0:39. Would have been just too long for the title.

The New San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge is wider and longer.

"one of", didn't say it was the widest.

The new Samuel de Champlain Bridge is the widest asymmetric cable-stayed bridge in the world that uses two planes of cables. The New SF Bay Bridge is a self-anchored suspension bridge, two completely different bridge constructions, you're comparing apples and oranges..
