- In this Song Mode tutorial, Mario shows us how to take a single pattern and use the pattern mutes per row within Song Mode to create a whole song. These pattern mutes settings live within each row of a song. Find out more about and download this sublime OS Upgrade: bit.ly/3E0dC8X

WHOOOooooo so we don't need to make new patterns just to bring elements in and out! This is such a great idea!
this song mode (I am just testing on DT-DK-DK) is just INSANE! 🤩... it really brings Elektron machines on top of the market... a great day in electronic devices history !
This is a REALLY intuitive workflow! And the good thing is, that it leaves tons of room for improvisation and for reading the moment, as those are just mutes.
Thank you! I really can't imagine another update being more meaningful. You just made a lot of people very happy.
That’s so great! Track mutes in song mode!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Thank you so much Elektron for giving us this!
This is great! I love the workflow so you can create different mute states within the list.
This is incredible functionality. What a lovely workflow idea. Exciting.
Elektron, you are amazing. Not just adding song mode but probably the best song mode. thankyou
Wow, thats amazing. Waiting this for a long time!
Great work, Elektron! And thx for listening to your customers! You guys rock hard!
Exellent and as a new elektron user super logical ....
Wow, that's a pretty cool UI to do this
I just realized that you can have track mute view on and basically play in the mutes. Game changer.
Oh my.. Some greatness in this world !
Happy days Elektron! What an update ✨
Damn!!! I'm loving it
Thank you elektron
ooh nice feature. thanks!
Awesome!!👍
No please Elktron now I have no excuse to not release my music hahaha
Bahahaha word
Nope I found em still
euuh.... fuck yeah!
EDIT: Even the User's manual is updated ... hell fuck yeah!
Thank you!!!!
STRANGE STRAINNNNNN 🔥🔥🔥
Great, that was really missing! Thanks! Now the only two things still missing are Arpeggiator for MIDI tracks and the ability to note-shift patterns (like on the A4).
Took yall this long.
Great feature. Just hoping for updates to expand syntakt’s sonic palette especially with the Drumlogue having many of its features as well as user oscillators and sample support.
The chord engine feels like the weakest link and some way to enable more bright chords, some other physical modeling synths and even rudimentary sample functionality would elevate it to a must buy device for so many.
damnnn. its hot. do upgrade for Analogs plzz
WOW!!!!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great!!! Thanks, but we need stereo sampling.
YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!
Wow!!!!!
WOW.
I have the Trinity with Digitakt leading. Sun and Digitone have noise in the cables. Should I be using trs cables? When I unplug them from the inputs that connect them to each other, the noise stops. Sounds like white noise.
Wow, the square shapted Elektron boxes became a lot more valuable. No more midi loopback and program changes! Edit: Elektron not Electron.
My only problem was when I do mutes and the sample still plays out but I want the audio muted momentarily...I sold mine because of this and I hope it one day changes but ya
That was quick.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Haha, I love the edit you made. 😂
@@Wormsie Haha, you saw that lol. I was just jealous as I’d just sold my Digitakt a few weeks ago and bought the Rytm mk2 which only has one LFO but I don’t regret it 😊 I’m having way more fun 🤩
Im confused why its called pattern mutes. Its track mutes, isnt it?
When the mute mode is green, you are selecting which tracks are muted globally. When the mute mode is purple (double press FUNC+BANK), you are selecting which tracks will be muted when that specific pattern is active. Hope this helps!
@@WeAreElektron appreciate you :)
This is very cool. But please tell me there's an easier way to build songs across three connected boxes?? Got a Digitakt, Digitone and Syntakt here and it's taken a lot of effort to just get 3 rows of a basic song built on the Syntakt and Digitone. You have to build the song on one, then rebuild it on the next box 😭. Is there a way to export a song as a .syx and load it into the other boxes? Looks like I'll be sticking to making songs the old fashioned way i.e. playing/recording them live, if not 😎
use program changes to keep the machines in sync. then you can program the song on just one box and the others follow.
@@villagranit but you can't programe the mutes for the Syntakt on the Digitones song arranger. I assume you mean that I'd just need to make different patterns with the mutes on the Syntakt and then the program changes coming from the 'master' song on the Digitone will just change the patterns accordingly. I don't think I'll really be using song mode that much anyway. Live jamming is basically my song mode 😆
@@DanChippendaleMusic This is a valid concern. You'd think they would have had a solution for this?
If you're using more than one device for a song, wouldn't you need to program them separately anyway? It's not like you could just copy a Digitakt song over to Syntakt and expect Elektron to know how you want your Syntakt drums and melodies to mute/unmute and which patterns to play to correspond to your Digitakt song idea. I see no other way than to program your machines separately for this.
@@sinewaymusic curious how it operates with multiple devices being in song mode at the same time. Without song mode, program changes would change for you and mutes are handled manually.
WTF? Out of nowhere.
