Appreciate that a lot mate! Yeah the clutch video will (so long as everything goes to plan) be the next video in the Peugeot series, got one more saxo video to come out then will be the 308 again! Cheers for the comment!
It's a track rod and lower control arm, I was screaming at the screen, saying ball joint splitter, but you figured it out in the end, you learned a valuable lesson, waste hours being cheap or just buy the right tool 😂
The longer driveshaft is held in by (2) 10mm Bolts at the bearing that is why i didn't want to come out..! You will find there are previous videos on almost every Clutch change on UA-cam..! So if you get stuck, just watch them for the necessary information or Just Buy a Haynes Car Repair Manual. It will save you Time And Money...!🤔🤔👍👍
Hi mate yeah I undid them at the start with the little bracket, was a nightmare fiddling about with it 😂 the driveshaft was sorta like rusted in place as there's a collar and a bearing in the intermediate bearing so I had to hit at the collar to loose the driveshaft out of the sleeve it was in but besides that it went quite smoothly, cheers for the comment mate and yeah, this video is not intended to follow along at home with 😂 cheers again mate!
@@CobnutVTS Stroke of luck and a mobile mechanic was across the road today lent us a proper balljoint separator fork. Worked in minutes. Now we are stuck on the female torx in the half cradle and some of the tricky bolts round the gearbox to finally remove it from the engine. Having a 'quick' break now though.
I've still yet to muster up the courage (and be bothered) to unbolt the gearbox and everything, it's freezing cold up in Scotland though so it's taking its time 😂
@@CobnutVTS Too right, I'm all the way down south coast and I cannae feel ma feet. We got the box off today and waiting for my bro to decide if he wants to pop the flywheel off and do the rear main seal. (He should imo) So much metal in the gearbox oil, clutch was absolutely knackered too.
As a bit of a sneak peak, I drained my gearbox oil...there was 50ml of oil...THATS IT! 😂😂 Im really hoping I don't need a new box but I'll find out once I have a mess around with the shaft inside, if it wiggles, new box time 😂 yeah the cold is a nightmare mate, you seem to be further along than me 😂
It looks like it in the video but it's just the protective rubber plastic bit at the bottom where it seats, thankfully nothing to worry about 😅 I appreciate the comment though mate, hope you enjoyed the video!
Jack up strut under brakedisk and ply of balljoints with a long metalbar under the floor, driveshaft is boltedted to engine via engine mount
That's how I do it too👍
Keep up the good work! Can't wait for the clutch video

i don't understand something, way you do not just remove the caliper and 2 mounting bolts from the hub and shock absorber at the beginning ?

Yeah man I'm glad I got the right tool out at the end of the day as I'd still be there wacking away at the control arm 😂😂
