I can’t consume any of sugar alcohols like xylitol, malitol, or erythritol. I get seriously ill with a massive headache, vomiting, nausea & vertigo. For years I thought I had chronic sinusitis that would just pop up without warning. Because of the elimination diet properties of going carnivore, I was able to pinpoint that it was when I consumed sugar alcohols I reacted. I am mostly a ketovore now, but immensely grateful that I was able to finally find the cause of my illness.
Dante I have been making my own tooth powder for several years now, I can give you the recipe if you want, no sweetner is needed. I have listen to Dr. Ax for a long time.
I made my own toothpaste using Bentonite clay, Himalayan salt, baking powder, cloves, and stevia. I don't brush that often, if at all, now, though, since going carnivore, as it doesn't feel necessary. One thing I noted from the video is that it can alkalize the gut. This is not necessarily a good thing, as you want a low pH and high acidity, especially when eating meat, so I would be careful with using it as a supplement, especially with meals.
IF you want the best clay get it from Head to Toe Products. This was Perry A business. It is triple milled and the best for drinking. Certified and tested.
Good evening Dante, big Moe here, yes the cows get free access to the clay year round. we use it for the purpose of capturing toxins that might come in from a neighboring farm carried by wind and rain. it seems very good at cleaning toxins from the forage if there are any present. another great use is to soak your feet to clean toxins from the body. we use water as hot as we can Stand it and add a half cup of clay mix well and sit there with your feet in a basin or hot clay water detoxing! blessings on ya keep up the good work Jeff
If you have gut issues or heavy metal/mold issues Bentonite clay helps, of course you should consume it far from foods to keep it from binding to the food.
I’ve used calcium bentonite for many many years. It is great for wounds. I saved a man’s toe with clay. Burns respond well to clay. What ever you do don’t get sodium bentonite clay. Calcium Bentonite clay is the one you want. And it is amazing as a face mask or you can put it all over your body.
Hello from Canary islands. Clay works because it's alkaline. It's has the capacity of modify the pH of the body. It's all about electrons and protons. Clay has a lot of minerals...that's what it works in some condition
I love Redmonds, and have bought their products for years (using your code), and I will continue to buy the Relyte and salt from them, but as we spoke about before I always used the unsweetened peppermint Earth Powder, and now since it seems they have discontinued it (I have not read anywhere that it IS discontinued, but it has shown as "out of stock" for a very long time), I get my tooth powder from a different source. It's not that I am afraid of xylitol, I just really don't like the taste, believe me I have tried. So if you speak to Redmonds let them know! Give me unsweetened option back, I give you my money 💰 😅
I was using a baking soda based commercial toothpaste but my dentist said it was damaging and implant. When I asked the purpose of toothpaste she said that there has been a recent study that showed you get most of the benefit from the brushing action. I have an electric toothbrush so I just brush each day with water, no toothpaste for the last 6 months. I’m looking forward to seeing what my dentist says at my next visit. (I’m 2 years carnivore, gums are much better and no new fillings or teeth problems). Thanks for your videos brother.
I use xylitol when I have sinus problems. Its a nasal spray called x clear I believe . Proven efficacy against covid during the pandemic. Bentonite clay is great...I use it topically
I always gave my grandchildren xylitol gum when they had ear infections. I used to watch Dr. Axe and his partner in the past when doing keto. I think they are vegetarians! His partner had severe crohns. Of course initially cleaning up the diet using whole foods was beneficial. Middle Tennessee Rita ❤
You’re thinking of Jordan Rubin…. He’s actually also a CATTLE RANCHER / farmer and is NOT vegetarian. They’ve created several different natural supplement products and highly promote collagen and bone broth.
I wouldn't use anything with Xyletol in it in my House.. because its DEADLY to Dogs!! Just a few grains of it could kill a small dog. I have 2 of those and a cat that tends to knock things off counters. Don't want to take even the slightest chance of killing my lil Family members.
Is it common to see animals in the wild with cavities? Here’s a somewhat silly question: Why don’t animals in the wild brush or floss their teeth? Is it because animals are eating their proper diet for their bodies where they produce powerful mouth and gut bacteria that keep their mouth, gums, saliva and teeth healthy and packed with good minerals!? Is this why zoos warn not to feed animals our poisonous human junk “food!?” So, if humans are eating their proper human diet (carnivore) and noticing incredible improvements to oral health after 1.5 years of carnivore, is it necessary to brush one’s teeth?
Homeostasis. Your body keeps the acidity/alkalinity of your blood / interstitial fluids in a VERY narrow range of pH. His claim of alkalinity is RIDICULOUS. Clay MIGHT have some benefits, but changing the pH of your gut won't happen.
I get dental checkups every 6 months and my dentist always comments on what great shape my teeth are in and asks me what tooth paste I use. I use Earthpaste from Redmond too and it hasn’t harmed my enamel at all.
This video indicates that bentonite clay might be a rabbit hole to look into. However, the speaker in the video didn't cite evidence or scientific literature. The video in this reaction should have a score of zero on the hierarchy of evidence. At best, it is information to look into. It does sound worth looking into though.
Not saying you're right or wrong. Just saying I'm gonna need something more than "I heard." I hear stuff like that about some of our highly respected doctors, professors, dieticians, etc. in the carnivore community. It's too easy to pass along opinions/rumors without substantiation.
Bentonite Clay is used for mold detox & heavy metal detox. Make sure you buy FOOD GRADE! Really research it. Once you dig in there are many pros & cons. not sure what is truthful about it. but, it works. Dr John Axe is trustworthy. He has a passion for helping people heal. He is on the right side of history.
Bentonite is good for the vegetable garden, it makes a too acidic soil better and holds water. But to pour that in your mouth... I don't believe in magic.
If we look back on human evolution, water for drinking, washing, cooking was ground water, which would contain so many microbes, minerals...maybe god screwed up.

Would love the recipe!
👍🏽
We used bentonite clay to line the bottom of landfills. Makes an impermeable barrier to keep chemicls from leeching into the ground water.
Eathmovers full of bentonite clay.
Bentonite clay has been around for many yrs, I probably have a bottle in the cabinet and Dr Axe is who I go to for yrs for natural health item info..

I’m curious why baking powder instead of baking soda. Do you use this as a powder?
@@janetmalone9629 Yes I think I got the recipe off Doug and Stacie
I use "Amish Farm Soap" for bathing & shampoo. It has bentonite clay. I think it is great for the skin!
How can I get these soap
Living Clay book by Perry A is excellent source. So much more to use it for. Thanks
Perry is awesome. I have talked with her several times over the phone. She is so happy to help and is super sweet.

Wonder if Bentonite Clay would be helpful for oxalates?
Perry A says yes, it does help to dissolve the sharp edges of the stone.
@@baskingintheglorythanks for sharing
That’s a great question and follow up comment from baskingintheglory

Bentonite clay is great for people, pets and livestock.

Yeah, Atkins had this in his book 40 years ago. Chelation therapy.
Those ingredients sound like what my polish nursing coworker put in her toothed powder years ago …2017😅. Nice!

I will push for it.
Josh Axe, not John Axe.
I make my toothpaste with Bentonite clay 🙌🏼also I use the Diatomaceous Earth for my Chickens and animals that also has Bentonite clay.
I give bentonite clay to my chickens to help get rid of toxins.

So this means the red clay at bottom of my sole water with Redmonds salt is ok to consume? I always throw out since uncertain?
That’s sediment, not bentonite clay. I clear it out with a cheese cloth.
@ thanks I been trying to find this answer!

BENTONITE CLAY IS TOO HARSH FOR YOUR TEETH ENAMEL
Bentonite clay is in a lot of natural toothpastes and low in acidity. Fine for teeth
I get dental checkups every 6 months and my dentist always comments on what great shape my teeth are in and asks me what tooth paste I use. I use Earthpaste from Redmond too and it hasn’t harmed my enamel at all.
No it's not. You can actually pack your gums with it when you go to bed and it will pull infections out of your gums and whitens your teeth.

My dental hygienist recommended xylitol things to me
