Since partnering with a local rancher for half a share of GFGF beef twice a year, I haven't seen the inside of a grocery store in almost four years.
I use my air fryer every single day!
I live in Dallas and Kroger and Tom Thumb both have good deals on steaks regularly. We can get strip steaks for $4.99 a pound, t-bone with a good size filet for $5.99 a pound ribeye steaks for $6.99 a pound. All none-in but it's still a good deal.
I live up in New Jersey; I don't get good sales like that here. At my local Shoprite, grocery store, ground beef is $5 a pound, and when there are no beef sales, the cheapest non-ground cut is usually like $6.50 a pound (for choice bottom round roast)! Prices have doubled in my area in the last couple of years. I have started driving to Costco Business Center; they sell business bulk items, including cuts of meat. I can get an entire grass-fed ribeye piece (like 13 pounds) for $10 a pound! and the cheaper beef cuts are $3.50-$4.50 a pound.
Just a suggestion for the times you want a quick steak. Take a cold pan, cast iron works great, place the steak in the pan. Turn the heat up to med high to high. Cook the steak for 2 minutes, and flip every 2 minutes afterward until it reaches the desired doneness. It usually takes about 10 minutes for med. rare but my steaks aren't as thick as yours.
Thanks Dante, I'm going to head to Publix in the morning. Then the morning after, and after, for the next two weeks...
Thanks for the heads up on Publics meat special and how to have them cut it up for you. Will head there on Friday.
Dante. Lot's of deals here in FL now. We just ordered a rib roast from Kroger they deliver for $2.95. Rib Roast on sale at Winn/Dixie also
I'm with you...I hate eating hamburgers...used my last pack of hamburger meat today and made cheeseburger soup with it...I would much rather eat a steak everyday...lol.
I'm waiting on Publix also
Those steaks look delicious! Guess I’m heading to Publix!
Sam'sClubhas lamb loin chops for sixbucks rightnow and Costcohas them for sevenbucksperpound. Really meaty and do count as partof the liondiet. JordanPeterson sayshis wife can only eat lamb, which means when they travel they often have to drive around to find itin thegrocerystore and thenbuy it and take it to arestaurant to have them cook it without seedoils or anything else other than salt. They're buildinga newCostco in TheVillages on CountyRoad466 near Hobby Lobby...They often have Christmasroasts too, but they're more like ten to thirteendollarsper pound.
It was good listening to you while eating 2 burgers
Wow!! 😮 $15.99-$16.99/lb for New York Strip Loin & $18.99/lb for Ribeye is a SALE PRICE up here in Ontario, Canada!!🇨🇦💔😢 *I am very happy that you & other Americans have those prices available, though!🇺🇸👍🏻🙏🏻
Come on down! Carnivores welcome!🙏🏽
Ribeyes here in Mississippi → 12.99/lbs
@ that’s the best I can expect when they’re not on sale here, with the exception of ungraded beef options out there; they’re always cheap, but I’d rather eat a shoe than that stuff. I hope you find some better deals for the Christmas holiday. 🙏🏽

What is the best way to reheat a leftover medium rare steak?
The best way to reheat a medium rare steak without overcooking it involves using gentle heat to warm the steak through without cooking it further:
1. Preheat your oven to a low temperature, around **250°F (120°C)**.
- Place the steak on a wire rack over a baking sheet to allow air to circulate around it.
- Heat for about 10 minutes, but check it frequently. The goal is to warm the steak to an internal temperature of about 130-135°F (54-57°C), which should keep it medium rare.
2. Heat a skillet over low to medium-low heat.
- Add a small amount of butter or tallow to the pan to prevent sticking.
- Place the steak in the pan.
- Flip the steak every minute or so to ensure even heating. This should take about 3-5 minutes total. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, aiming for 130-135°F (54-57°C).
3. Sous Vide:
- Set your sous vide cooker to **130°F (54°C)**.
- Place the steak in a vacuum-sealed or zip-lock bag with some butter or tallow.
- Submerge the bag in the water bath for about 5 minutes. This method ensures precise control over the steak's temperature.
In all methods, it's crucial to let the steak come close to room temperature before reheating to ensure even heating. After reheating, allow the steak to rest for a couple of minutes before serving. This rest period helps redistribute the juices, keeping the steak moist. Remember, the steak will continue to cook slightly after being removed from heat due to residual heat (carryover cooking), so remove it from the heat source just before it reaches your desired temperature.
@ Thank you Dante! Exactly what I needed.
Great content, Dante

I eat a bunch of burger !
As a farmer and a butcher.... Ribeye is 100% overrated... Much better cuts and cheaper.
Which cut is your favorite? I’m a chuck roast guy myself.
Kroger has bone in rib roasts 9.99 this week, saw one with nice marbling today so grabbed it. I'd love to find for 7.99, I'd buy several
What happened with the Typhur air fryer?
I talk about it in the video… what do you mean “what happened with it”?
IT'S CREEPY, I DO MY REDMOND SALT IN MY GRINDER TOO. I DON'T LIKE CRUNCHY SALT ON MY MEAT!!! IT'S LIKE EATING GLASS!! I GRIND MINE !!!!
Why don't u vacuum seal them?
Dante, give that piece to your dog, raw!
Might need to learn how to preserve meat without electricity.
America and Europe in very delicate situation. Warmongers want long on-going wars to make loads of money. However. It is possible to reach the UK, Europe and the States with missiles now.
Prayer is the most important weapon. However worth mentioning. When I was small meat was salted and hung on metal (I think) hooks from wooden beams in the kitchen ceiling.
I have seen but not yet tried, the odd jarred meat. Surrounded in fat.
Just a thought.
🙈. Sorry. 😊⚘️
I’ve thought about it, but underground icehouses are out down here in Florida. The water table is too high, and it’s all sand.
I worry that people want to replace commerce, the church, family, and community with an ever larger-ever distant oligopoly. Today it is in DC but tomorrow it might be further away.
I want more decentralized power myself, and that’s what I see on the upcoming agenda as long as the WEF cabal doesn’t spring something on us.
