I love this cover, love how its slow sad and only a dash of anger. I connect very deeply, as for my ex lover I don't feel as much anger as I do the sadness and how easily I could be tossed aside and disregard and watch her in the arms of another.

Matthew mayfield is so awesome. and the cellist is pretty hot as well...
I always liked the original version from Alanis. But from a male perspective and with your individual interpretation and speed, it feels much more intense and powerful to me. It's not just a dude covering a song changing the gender. It actually seems like a different song.

Listen to the song again. Notice how he sings the chorus the first time around. He builds up to it and then pulls back ... hard, forcing us to lean in and really listen to what should ultimately be the central message of the song (the refrain) anyway.
