- This video covers how to create ABS end caps to cover and protect the back of the factory steel front bumper. This is a great way to cover the exposed fog lamp when you remove the bumper end caps.

Excellent fix. Just ordered 2 panels of 12x12x3/16 for my stock steel 2021 JT ends. This is a great solution and done right will look tailored. Thanks Expedition Builders.
Also, save those bumper caps because they currently sell for approx $250/pair.
Hi Bill, good hearing from you! Good luck fabbing your end caps and thanks for the heads up on the bumper caps.
Man that is an AWESOME job!!!! Very impressive
Thank you, appreciate that!
Just found this video the other day. I just bought a new-to-me Recon front steel bumper for my JK and was looking for something like this. I purchased the pieces from Maximus-3 but they did not fit my application due to me already having their front tow hooks in place. Your video inspired me to make my own. I used the Maximus-3 pieces as a template before returning them
Nice to hear this, and great idea using the Max-3 for your templates👍🏻
oh that i ned to tell my husband about this mods this is something new to me.
Good stuff!
Thanks Randy, good hearing from you!
I’ve been thinking about covering this area. Great solution. Where did you find the ABS sheet?
Hi Richard! I ordered mine here: www.tapplastics.com/
I see it's becoming easier to find, seeing you can now order it from Home Depot as well as Lowes. Mcmaster is another source. Good luck with your project.
What did you use to cut it and make the edges smooth?
Hi Dreston! I cut it with a sabre saw, course (wood) blade. To the finish edges a smooth file works great A smooth sanding pad on the orbital sander works great to finish it all off.
Nice! Would you ever make any to sell?
Hi David, good hearing from you! I simply don't have time to pull it off. You're not the first one to ask me this.
I'm going to reach out to a friend I know who manufactures Jeep products and ask if they would have any interest in developing this.
@@ExpeditionBuilds Awesome, thanks! Please let me know if so.
@@phistry810 Will do!
