Wildlife weekly special: what’s in store for the cranes in 2015?
Cranes are once again getting busy at WWT Slimbridge raising hopes that the first chicks might be successfully reared this year.
Crane couple Monty and Chris have been spotted nest building in their old territory - the site they reared then sadly lost two chicks last year.
This year the wardens have pulled out all the stops adapting their habitat to help them protect their young from predators.
But will this be enough and will the lessons of last year stay with them?
