  • The Wicklow Way - Clonegal to Dublin - Walking 132km through the Garden of Ireland.
Walking the Wicklow Way from south to north would be my preferred choice as it leaves the best until last, in terms of scenery. There's two days of walking in lowlands on the southern end, so its nice to get that done first. From there on you will have stunning landscapes, mountains, valleys, lakes, waterfalls, and finally crossing through the vibrant colours of furze and heather on the Dublin mountains. Arriving in Dublin, with weary legs, you will have plenty of options for transport, food, and accommodation.
My journey was broken into five stages:
    Clonegal - Dying Cow Pub
Dying Cow Pub - Iron Bridge
Iron Bridge - Lugduff (above Glendalough)
Lugduff - River Dargle (Glensoulan valley above Powerscourt)
    River Dargle - Dublin.

Hi Donal. Epic trip, you got all the weather's 😅. You captured some lovely scenery along the way. That was a good decision to go from south to north, keeping the best landscape for the end journey. The dying cow !! That brought some memories 🫣 for me. Fair play on completing the trip, it's a great achievement. All the best 👍

Thanks Andrew!! For a change I got mostly great weather. In fact, I got sun burn! As I left Glenmalure Lodge and passed up by Mullacor Hut, I was thinking of your Art's Lough video. I was looking across the valley. It's beautiful! I'd love to camp there sometime! I had never been in Glenmalure before. But I look forward to going back! Thanks for your comment! 👍
