I remember I read about the carotid sinus massage while studying physiology a couple of weeks ago and wondered if it had any risks, and here you are answering my question. Thank you Sam! Great video as always. Have a wonderful day ❤️
Hello Mr. Webster, wonderful video as always! I was wondering if you will be interested in making a detailed video about endochondral ossification. It will be fantastic( like all your videos). Thank you!
This can also be observed in giraffes long neck. A sudden trauma to Carotid sinus of a giraffe (ex - a giraffe dueling a rival) can cause them to lose consciousness and faint.
Hi Sam, have you ever thought of doing some statistical analysis of who uses these anatomy teaching resources around the world? Specifically, which countries; which fields of healthcare and medicine; student perceptions on your videos; objective and subjective analysis of how useful students find the videos, etc. I would have thought it'd be an interesting piece of evidence which can be used for future cohorts of students which may be impacted by the continuing pandemic, and how specifically teachers and curriculum developers could use simple technology (aka UA-cam, etc) to continue teaching, despite the lack of face to face on campus learning opportunities which have been become the staple and norm in human anatomy education.
Yes, it's one of the many things on a list of things "I should do but have still not got done" on my whiteboard in my office. UA-cam logs a load of data as you might imagine. Most studies I see at conferences about UA-cam haven't asked very interesting questions or thrown up very interesting ideas. They tend to reinforce the obvious. In my experience the biggest obstacle to teachers putting elearning materials out into the world is fear. Technological ability is second. These ideas, I think, would be interesting questions to ask.
I don't think so. There is a difference between the right and the left locations of the other two groups of baroreceptors though, those in the chest (at the end of the brachiocephalic artery on the right and on the aortic arch on the left).
He sends down water from the skies, and the channels flow, each according to its measure: But the torrent bears away to foam that mounts up to the surface. Even so, from that (ore) which they heat in the fire, to make ornaments or utensils therewith, there is a scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by parables) show forth Truth and Vanity. For the scum disappears like forth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables.

Hello Sam, Thank you for great explanation. Can you tell me what anatomy dummy you were using? Thank you!
Is anyone else terrified of touching their own neck now
much thanks dr.
thanks for your effort.
Same information.. Hats 👑⛑👒🎩off.. Regards
Thanks a lot!
Is there a difference between the right and left carotid sinus in anatomy? Since, why usually message the right side?
