The question about adding stuff to old packs really sparked my interest. It'd be cool if they did mini updates- even adding new movies to Movie Hangout would be a small but much needed update

I also think the question needs to be explored less narrow and more broad. Do I think I could make the african-american family I wanted in base game, honestly yes and did for several months before I bought a single pack. However that’s because I am (Hyphen-American). however, I think there’s a lot basegame could use to be more diverse. Like Hijabs in different styles would go a long way, turbans, more Saris, some base game kimonos and Kenga. Items basically seen in parts of the world BESIDES America. This is also the issue with lacking the map creation tools we had in Sims 2 and 3. Because if you didn’t want to play with what Maxis made you could litterally build your own world from the ground up. This didn’t stop people from buying packs and playing in Maxis worlds but it did mean if I wanted to create my own because Maxis just wasn’t doing it for me, I could. Sims 4 will never be able to include the whole world like even Africa itself is 54 countries with all kinds of cultures, subcultures, and languages within those countries. So the tools to diversify your own gameplay are ultimately what can make or break diversifying your personal game experiences. So do I think we are overdue for something inspired by some region of Africa, sure. But what does that even mean…Egypt, the Congo, Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana? A melting pot of a certain region (like Tomerang was a melting pot of South-East Asian inspiration?).
The lack of representation question is a weird one because while yes Sims 4 does have a lot of representation but only if you own all the packs making accurate races is SIGNIFICANTLY harder in the base game or without CC
Yeah, should be clear by now now people want enough in BG to be able to not think they have to get Snowy Escape or For Rent to get clothes n hairs ( at least what I've seen) to make Sim self and I knows they've added little to BG for African Americans.
Kinda weird that they change the questions for different people, i suppose it's related to what you choose as the most important things to you but then i chose some build/buy and some gameplay but got all build/buy related questions and nothing about game play. Would be nice to give my opinion on everything even if i don't like it because surely that's the point? If fashion isn't important to me but i can still give my opinion on what i WOULD want, surely that's even more helpful than someone who is really into fashion and wants it all?
Interesting! I had totally different brands in mine, like Doritos, Kitchen Aid, Anthropology, and Ikea. I saw some people posting they more celebrity based questions so it seems like there is a whole bunch of different options going on in the surveys. I just hope this is a collaboration survey and not a which-ads-can-we-get-away-with-adding-in-the-game. Sure, give us an Ikea pack, that might be nice, but don't put ads on the cart button, or the homescreen/pause menu like the CEO was talking about in that quarterly meeting.

I like your idea about events (like Sims inviting us to their events instead of always having to host), but based on the pre-prom party for H.S. Years which is almost always lame, I hope they would design some ‘scripts’ if the did that, sort of like a mini scenerio that the host family falls into when they invite your sim over. Cause right now sims get invited to the pre-prom party and show up at the inviter’s home and Sims either do nothing, do homework, or wander around doing random stuff as oppose to partying. Th game should boot out all non-Teens, have music on by default, and have the directives of a party take over the host family. This would of course vary based on what kind of event was happening.
I got a bunch of fashion questions despite thinking I was appealing more as a builder. Honestly, not a big fan of fast fashion or big name fashion brands. Shien has a particularly low opinion. Then again, I didn't know most of them. I didn't get any build or gameplay questions aside from how well my game runs.
I know this list is long, but are just some things from previous games I would like to see. I didn’t include anything that was in all 3 previous games, because that’s its own list, and this list would have been even longer. 1. Update the game table, so it includes Mahjong from TS2 and dominos from TS3 and update the chess table, so it includes checkers from TS1. Also, add playing chess on your PC, which was a thing in TS3. 2. The Smoothie stand from TS1. They could just update exiting food stands to serve smoothies. TS1 smoothies are Banana Berry, the Apple Combination smoothie and the Strawberry Freeze. They could add food carts like the hot dog cart from TS1 and even add one for pretzels. They could also bring back the food truck from TS3 and the food you can get from it is Hot dog, Taco, Burrito, Clam Chowder, Hamburger, and Plasmafruit Chowder. Some TS3 Seasons food could be added to it like Hot Wings, Nachos, Onion Rings, Grasshopper Pie, French Fries, Chili Cheese Fries, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Cuban Sandwich and Lemonade. Some new food that could added: poutine, Pierogies, cheese curds, funnel cakes, corn dogs, Croffle, Gyros, Falafel, Satay, Fried chicken, Meat pies, Paczki, donuts/doughnuts, Pavlova, Vacherin, Lamington, Eton mess, Mille-feuille, Peach Melba, and Profiteroles. The game could have multiple food trucks like ones for grill cheese with different types, one for desserts, one for breakfast, one for donuts/doughnuts, one for tacos, nachos and burritos, one for pizza, one for international cuisine, one for Ice Cream with the Colored Popsicle, Freezer Bunny Popsicle, Fudge Popsicle from the TS3, along with some others and the ones from TS4 High School Years, etc. Your sims could be allowed to run there own food cart or food truck, in addition to the restaurants in Dine Out. If sims are able to do this, then the player would get to decide the menu. They could even add the Wood Fire Oven, deep fryer, Aims Co. Choc-O-Falls Fountain (if there isn't one in TS4), and the Chun Co. Teppanyaki Grill from the TS3 store, as well as cotton candy stand from TS1 and TS3 store, and the Snow cone machine from TS3. As for kids, Little Baker type oven and the lemonade stand from TS2 and TS3. 3. Carousel, Classic Gumball Machine, Hot Air Balloon from TS3 store. The ax throwing from TS2, trampoline from TS3, Poolside bars from TS3, Skydiving simulator from TS1, the Archery range from TS1, and the volleyball net from TS1. The volleyball net could allow no more than 4 sims, kids and up, on each side. Other things that could be added the Gondola and Old Mill Water Wheel from TS3 Store, Food synthesizer, Drink synthesizer, Hoverboard/Windcarver, Dream pod, Sonic shower, Tube Elevator from TS3: Into the Future. 4. All-in-one Bathrooms from TS3. They would be perfect for the house types from Tiny Living and for sims players who do rags to riches. Yes, I know someone did convert these, but it would nice to them have in TS4. 5. Build mode items: The boomerang shaped window (TS1), the beaded door (TS1), I want to say there was a one title sliding door, similar to Star Trek, in the one of the past games, but regardless TS4 should get one. 6. TS3 - sprinklers (your sims can run through them), Astronomer career, fortune teller career, Fairies, Sandpit, Seesaws and making blog posts from your phone. Also the afterschool activities: Art , Ballet (TS4 could just call it Dance), Music, Sports, Debate, Newspaper, Shop (maybe the last three are Teens only), allow counters to have the option of filling a bowl with candy, chips or nuts, but also add pretzels. Add the Traits: Neurotic, eccentric, mooch, and whatever other ones from TS3 players liked. TS2 - Merry-go-rounds, Activity Table (also TS3), Intelligence Career. 7. There's probably a bunch of pie menu stuff from the previous games like play rock, paper scissors, red hands, kicky bag, tag, cop and robbers, snowball fight, etc. that I would like to see back, but I would have to really look at the pie menus from the past games to what's there. Even some of the game play like sims falling asleep in their food, sims being able to jump rope, toddlers and nursery rhymes, etc.
My list of brands didn’t display as a radio button list instead it was separate screens for each brand I kept hitting next button until I was so sick of it I quit out of the survey without finishing it. I mean after the 10th screen it was shocking

I also got asked if I had heard of make up companies and then they asked me what I thought of those same companies, even though I said I'd not heard of like 99% of them.

I feel like collabing with fast fashion brands would be such a bad idea, considering how many designs there are stolen from small companies. But they also like to take CC creators ideas without crediting them so kinda fitting, not going to lie. But in general, if they would ask about fairies now, then it means the pack will be in winter 2025 the earliest, I assume more like 2026, unless they've already made it and ask just so they want to know what to add and what to remove. At least that's what I think would be reasonable time for making GP, because I assume it would be game pack like all occults other than mermaids.
It asked me about ALL of the multiple choice things it felt like and I said I was most interested in gameplay and occults or build/buy. OR it might be that because I have NoScr!pt in Firefox something went pear-shaped because with those multiple-choice ones about brands and franchises at first I swear it only asked me about home goods and then I think franchises but when I clicked the Next button it suddenly popped up saying there were things that were required and I got the fashion and sports as well. I thought I missed one or two dots because there's SOOO many and I had to think about a few (also there were duplicates, ie Spider-Man was on there twice during the same section of the questionnaire) but then I SWEAR when it tried to tell me to go back it refreshed the page too and it popped up with everything after that (maybe not actually everything, and my mouse is kinda glitchy, but I don't think I was so tired that I somehow skipped past entire sections.)
The weird thing is how they've decided that these features are good from the jump and want us to rate if we like them and are satisfied or if we like them and want more. Does world size matter? Yes, make them smaller please. Giant empty worlds suck. Special townies? I would delete them but it makes the game break, unsatisfied and don't want any more thanks
Oh man, I have always wanted a "whodunnit" pack, where we were weekly made to go to the different worlds to solve mysteries (there should be a toggle on/off for this ofc OR they could be a bit like scenarios... and they could have a writer give us weekly tasks, it is not too much to ask really from a supposed alleged etc billion dollar company, I mean, if Blizzard can give us dailies, weeklies etc in World of Warcraft why can't EA?) anyways, I digress - so yeah, like, who stole Agnes' iconic bag; who left this sack of money on the side of the road and what is it because of (aliens) etc... I know it is neeever going to happen, but a girl can dream - and yeah, like you said, the outfit to go with it, like, yes pleaseee! Perfect.
I like this!!! It could make the events “rewards” more gameplay themed then random. I didn’t hate the login items we got, I hated the execution, but they were also so darn random and didn’t Inspire me to really ‘play’ with them or play with them together in any sort of way. But they also need to fix how these items are associated with the account once unlocked so they are always yours and can’t accidentally be lost.
What you could do is the stuff you added not satisfied with make a separate video on this explaining them and things u want through a power point like plumbella!

I think houseware collabs could be fine. There is no brand I care about but like kitchenaide items Sims style….every Sim lives in a house. The thing about CAS is basics will always live longer than super specifics brands. Like the CAS items from 10 years ago look like CAS items from 10 years ago. My thing is I like Sims stuff more “based on” than literally “thing that exist in real world” as it usually doesn’t lose its lustere with time. So I will always be ‘meh’ about brand collabs.
They gave me some of the home brands in my questions and Ikea was in there! I said I felt positively towards them because I do and I thought it'd be a nice inclusion. Regarding the Sim invites, they still send invites for rabbit hole events but I'm not sure what pack has it or if it's base game. During my recent play, my Sim got invited to the opera, she vanished for a bit, and said she had a good time when she returned. I didn't have any mods installed at the time. I'm with you though; I didn't even think about the other invites until now but it's something that might be nice to add back in. I think the bigger issue is just that with all of the festivals and stuff happening per pack, if your Sims know a lot of Sims, you can get overwhelmed with all of those invites and other pack related requests as well as the ones about what they should do with their lives. Maybe that's why they removed them or at least stopped having Sims invite you to the festivals after the City Living ones? I'm assuming they only removed invites to the special events on a venue lot which might have come with Get to Work or Get Together. They still invite Sims to festivals and rabbit hole events.

For future loin reward events EA should join frogware and have sherlock holmes rewards like outfits and the pipes he smokes as accessories.

Regarding the Sim invites, they still send invites for rabbit hole events but I'm not sure what pack has it or if it's base game. During my recent play, my Sim got invited to the opera, she vanished for a bit, and said she had a good time when she returned. I didn't have any mods installed at the time. I'm with you though; I didn't even think about the other invites until now but it's something that might be nice to add back in. I think the bigger issue is just that with all of the festivals and stuff happening per pack, if your Sims know a lot of Sims, you can get overwhelmed with all of those invites and other pack related requests as well as the ones about what they should do with their lives. Maybe that's why they removed them or at least stopped having Sims invite you to the festivals after the City Living ones? I'm assuming they only removed invites to the special events on a venue lot which might have come with Get to Work or Get Together. They still invite Sims to festivals and rabbit hole events.
