Wait, I don't think they're trying to polish the game because of our demends. They're trying to appeal for potential ADVERTISERS, because no brand would want to associate with a broken game!! Oh my, we're so naive 😭
Yep. This is what it always comes down to with them - dollars. They could care less about giving us something worth those dollars, they just want the dollars for minimum effort.
Guys, those aren't mere collabs. They're clearly looking for potential ADVERTISERS. Some of the TV shows listed there weren't even released yet - Ironheart (Marvel/Disney+ series) is coming by the end of 2025, and Elle (a Legally Blonde prequel series for Prime Video) was recently announced. Why else would they ask about those?

The game has still several bugs and glitches.
The gameplay is too vanilla and after a while it becomes boring. If it wasn't for mods it would be unplayable on any level.
Sims obsess over anything and they can't be managed effectively. They just get up and move around whilst you tell them to sit, eat and chat with other people at the table.
Likes and dislikes and any other emotion barely affects them.
Animations are too basic and limited compared to the abundance of those present in the sims 2.
EP and GP functionalities most of the time don't work or are partially finished, despite being sold at full price (and I am sure the money used on EA website to purchase any expansion still "works" once the transaction is completed, hence it is not like I spend $40 and you can only use $15 off of it, right? Well, that's the state of each and every EP and GP of the sims 4).
I hope the devs will be able to fix these, and many other (quite old as well) problems, and finally deliver a finished and polished products. If one wants to buy the full game - that is every EP, GP, Kit and Stuff Pack - it nets to an almost $1100, and at this price it is unthinkable to expect people satisfaction on something that is full of glitches, with unfinished parts, and the advertised features don't work. I don't think you'd like to buy a top of the line car, with all its accessories included and paying a hefty price to then discover that the wheel doesn't fully turn, the headlights don't properly work, there's no seat belts because they were not completed and the trunk stays open because the lock wasn't implemented, though advertised!
The game is so boring that even the sims are bored and fixate on random new stuff 😂😂

Some people got singers/bands, and not brands, I got Tv shows, like Bridgerton, Friends, Beavis and Buthead, The simpsons...
Bridgeton of a royalty pack would be interesting but knowing the sims team they would mess it up

Huh..in my survey it wasn't fashion brands but household brands, for household items. Most brands I didn't even know. The focus wasn't on fashion brands. The sports were there, though. And like I said elsewhere, in a video about the login event, that the Sims was feeling like a Facebook game and I wouldn't be surprised the Sims would say to download other games like FB games do, to receive some rewards. And with the survey asking if I played any other games, I'm guessing it's coming

I took the survey and my Brand Awareness list was totally different from yours. I got a bunch of cosmetic companies instead of Air Jordans and Crocs.
I got asked about celebrities and games and not about brands
i did too, which is weird bc they werent even celebrities i really cared about aside from maybe dolly parton or i suppose taylor swift??? and i dont play a ton of games so i was confused by why that was targeted for me lol

The survey is long and there are only a few questions that DIRECTLY relate to the game. Most of it is about movies and other EA games that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the production/game play of Sims 4. These people don't give a rats ass about our opinions!
Facts.
The way I play the Sims 4 wasn’t mentioned, so I had to choose things that sounded similar.
It’s concerning to say the least to see stuff like SHEIN and Lululemon on this list.
What's bad about those? Genuine question from someone who doesn't get fashion. Do they use fur or something?
@@weevil8025 Both are fast fashion, which is awful for the environment because they use toxic textile dyes. SHEIN is a glorified sweatshop that constantly ends up with lead in their products and a Lululemon employee described the company as a cult-like pyramid scheme. I don’t know the truth of that last part, but it’s worth mentioning. Thrifting is always a better alternative
@@luvsparkzz Thanks for enlightening me. I don't really bother with fashion brands, prefer charity shops (basically thrifting) myself. I'll be sure to avoid their products regardless.

Animal Crossing New Horizons became my life during the 2020 lockdowns.
Great game, but my life that time were ETS2 and ATS. Since I couldn't travel IRL, travelling in virtual truck was saving me from insanity. But, of course, they didn't put those games in their survey.
I wonder if the login rewards was a deliberate attempt to inflate their numbers so they could approach all these brands and say "look how great our game does, wanna collab?!"

Most likely, I had a feeling they weren’t actually going to fix everything when they released that newsletter. I quit Sims 4 after the entire shopping cart debacle and I haven’t looked back since, and I’m surprised there’s still people that defend this game like their families depend on it.
What they can do with loading screens is delete those who appear between lots in the same neighborhood. For example: No loading screens to visit a neighbor in the same neighborhood your sims live
So basically open neighborhood is what you are asking for, even though they won't do that.
I think this is why they added that shop button on the screen. That way when you select a clothing item or even eventually a build/buy option, you can go straight to the real life item to buy. Then EA earns a commission..
They asked about specific beauty brands and entertainment people what does that I put don't know any. More than 3/4 was about using beauty products, music, people - I mean what the hell does Queer Eye have to do with Sim4 and all the BS we players go through or want in the game. Advertising is what it is!!!!
I do like them doing surveys, but I'm so out of touch with brands because I can't even afford half of the clothing and makeup brands out there + I'm a boring male who only wears t-shirts and jeans. I had to say no on pretty much everything, besides brands I'd only heard of through others.

I tried to take this survey. But when I got to a certain part where they were asking if I know any of these certain brands. I had clicked "no" on all but 2 and it wouldn't let me go forward. It kept saying there was an error, and it always brought me back to that one question. I double and triple checked to make sure I had answered all of them for that section and the ones before and after, but they kept bringing me to the one where I had clicked "no" on all but 2. So I gave up. I didn't want to lie and say yes or no if I hadn't heard of them or if I had heard of them.
I had the same issue, it was so annoying not to be able to finish the survey after answering that far

I mentioned in the feedback we need a waterpark gamepack,more pool items,more amusement park rides and items,a hotel expansion,cars and boats that more then one sim can use.

They asked if we knew about Porshe. A possible hint towards cars and the Australian Zoo hopefully zoos will come to the game.
Most likely the Porsche is only for-decor-only car and merch, while the Zoo will be pretty much a rabbit hole, like the one in For Rent. LOL

@@Catloverplayer LOL I would. We are ten years into a game that shipped with no pools, toddlers, or basements. We still cannot create our own worlds, we cannot surf or do ballet or fix up old cars. They couldn't even put tigers in the tiger sanctuary or make a real botanical garden and you think they'll release cars and zoos?!

I don’t think the brands are for a collab bur rather for them to see what clothing brands are popular amongst the players and what direction to go with fashion inspiration in the future

Who is getting these surveys? I’ve played for 7 years and got no survey..
Most of those games I've never played.
I got a lot of different questions and brands than you. Seems like they are either radomly generated or depending on the answers on second page. Funnily enough, from the brands they gave me, I only heard of Ikea. The other brands I've got are, most likely, some local American brands that me, Czech, never heard of. Your list was way better and way less Americanised.
And then, I told them to stop making kits and concentrate on EPs, GPs and SPs. Yeah, I don't think they will listen to me, but maybe, if there will be more people who write them something like this, they will think about it and at least will put kits on sales. Who knows. It's worth the effort, isn't it?

I got housing brands list I did also get a list of music artists and I voted for every K-Pop group (I wish they would spend our money on BTS songs but they are still doing their military service 😭)
I will suggest to tone down on the homosexuality and go back to the friendly famaly style the original sims was...im talking about the game creating more regular families
What are you even on about? LOL In previous games we had stripper cakes and go go cages, male sims whistled at female sims and grabbed their butts, like seriously? If you're homophobic then play your game in the style you want to play it, but you can't expect a game meant to simulate life among diverse groups of people to not be inclusive.
