Here is a possibly very obscure game that had a crazy game over screen. You game over, and it starts placing differently colored, very thin lines across the screen at an accelerated rate, until the entire game is covered in a rainbow mesh of colors-leaving the gameplay prior to the game over being completely obfuscated, all in less than 10 seconds give or take. This is such a profound game over screen concept that has obviously left an impression on me, having never seen it since the age of the console while I was young. I have asked multiple communities, and nobody knows a game title that fits this description, nor have I seen anything close to it appear on any videos. I think it takes place on a single, non-scrolling screen, where your character moves from the top trying to get to the bottom. (Maybe the gameplay was supposed to be perceived as being on or in a mountain?)
4:23 can do a better job of scaring me than Five Nights at Freddy’s ever could. It’s real fear, not a loud noise that comes out of nowhere. That’s startling. This is scary. (This was also made on a 41 year old console, which makes it even more sad.)
Lol bandwagon much. FNaF is a better horror game not because of the jumpscare but the pure tension it gives the players especially in the harder nights where a mistake can mean death. While I do agree that jumpscares are a cheap way to scare people unfortunately FNaF doesnt rely on jumpscares to scare people unlike what you think. Just search up people playing it and just playing the game scare them much more than the jumpscares

The Space Invaders "death fart" sound effect at 6:30. LOL!!!! 35 years later it still gets me laughing. Now these are what video games were meant to be!!!
To all those who were hyped for Pac-Man and Donkey Kong on the 2600 back then only to now see Pac-Man 8K, 4K, Donkey Kong VCS, Galagon, Mappy, Draconian, and Princess Rescue, among probably several other Namco and Nintendo fan ports to be made in the future... *I’m very sorry that your childhood was ruined.* :(

Atari 2600 had the bear level which was like easy mode. a lot of these we had in my family. we had other games like robot tank, M.A.S.H, Millipede, Pac-Man Jr, and so many others. I miss jungle hunt and donkey Kong Jr too. a flash back to my childhood. I wish I could still play our 2600.
I think that's the "Supercharger" version of Frogger. (That accessory was a cassette player interface with 6,272 bytes of extra RAM, which made larger, more advanced games possible on the 2600.)
Missile Command always unsettled me because you failed to protect your cities with presumably millions of people, and it just ends with a final nuke and then complete silence, no tune, no "game over", just a wasteland of rubble and a depleted nuke defense bunker.
I program games on the Atari systems as well as the modern computers. The 2600 is quite a weak system, yet was the most powerful thing you could buy in 1977 for under $500. It is so weak you need the CPU to draw the graphics. Insane, isn't it?
