I have to wear my helmet to the strangled planet I don't want to go I don't want to go It's never what you are, it's what you wear In the tangled carcass of the billboard monkey I don't want to go But when I do I have to wear my brand new helmet Everybody's happy when everyone's gathered at the sundial Everyone's afraid to make friends God knows there isn't time Where have I been? Drunk of the glare of my skinny tim sin zoltan! zoltan! i know you’d rather have this comment float away on the digital ocean towards obscurity, never to be found again this expression of one’s personal longing for intimacy, but unfortunately for melancholy, this struck a chord, for there’s a stranger, such as yourself, on the other side of the world searching for something similar. Someone to lean on, someone hold onto, someone to become on with. Someday, somewhere, someone will be there. Or one can only hope.
Man I can't get enough of this song, the UA-cam algorithm knows exactly what I want
This song makes me feel like an alien who's found it's home. This song is so genuine it's hard to describe.
It definitely has a child-like wonder to it.
Exactly!
@Killen' Dylan
Wut?
I can’t… this song has been on constant rotation in my mind for a long time. I’m trying not to relapse and this is my blanket
hope you’re doing okay

I'm pretty sure it's "shut up when I've got the conch" and its a reference to Lord of the Flies

Does she sing in other songs or bands?
Yes! She was in Floragore :) Here's a link to their album -> ua-cam.com/play/PLGLFZf9GyGKTOxgo1dfILFwmeLDDcl27T.html&si=DCa_u9HV29VLMG4f
🕊️❤️
Where can I download their discography
Πάρις They’re so underground they can only be found on music sites like band camp and UA-cam. I’d say just download all the videos you can of them
@MemesAreDreams I don't really use blogspot, I just found the link on another Daddy's Hands song.
I got their whole discography on last fm :)
@@Hannah41823 share
is that a cover of Ache Hour Credo? or did Ache Hour Credo cover from daddys Hands?
Strangled Planet was originally from Ache Hour Credo. Daddy's Hands got together subsequently.
This song carried over from AHC to Daddy's Hands once that band was put together. There's 2 versions of this song with and without Emily
Sameguy
Ache Hour Credo was Chad Jones and Dave Wenger from M-Blanket (Charlie the Drummer of M-Blanket gotten married and moved away) ...Ache Hour was them slowly morphing into/towards Daddy's Hands (Chad then left to record solo work as 'Frankie Sparo' (eventually on constellation records) .....and Emily (Bass&vocals) and Jonah(Drums) and John (on Sax) Joined Dave to form Daddy's Hands (and they recorded new versions of a few Songs that Dave/Chad had done as AHC. ) So not covers ....all Dave Wenger projects.
