Excellent work! After reviewing your work, side by side with Sargents, the only thing yours needs is to have more complementary colors next to each other. The Impressionists worked hard at putting vivid red and green (complementaries) next to each so that the colors would vibrate. I noticed that in the shadows by the sidewalk and up in the tree leaves. Great impression! Thanks for showing us how it's done!
You have done some great works of art! Thanks for sharing your videos. I am currently working on a JSS mountain landscape. His results made it look so simple!
@@vizarts267 😄😆 Seriously tho, in paintings capturing sunlight and shadows I love the effects of bits of random colors all intermingled. Definitely pleasing (to me). I need some loosening up, but still a complete watercolor novice despite some level of mastery with other drawing/painting medium. No technique of my own yet. Just childish copying still. But I’m definitely realizing I’m too afraid of splashing about yet. The cost of paper probably has something to do with that!
@@jackwyatt8849 fear of getting things wrong is real, cost of paper is a minor factor here. The approach to learning watercolor is practice privately, resisting urge to get them posted on social media initially and reminding yourself before each painting 'this may turn out to be a failure, let me study how bad I fail'.

Wow. Beautiful and inspiring...!
These dont get the views they deserve, but still... thanks for making them.
😄
Nice suggestions, thanks!
(Your filthy pallet triggers my compulsive neatness with my supplies. 😆 )
Thanks...I never clean my pallet unless there is molding, or I need pure colors. HAPPY PAINTING..

Wouldn't it be nice to hear the artist explain the thinking process instead of repetitive music?
Thanks for the feedback
OMG, Enough of the mixing.
