    Reason for the comments on the unboxing is that your usual content is refreshingly objective, on top of being very knowledgeable. When you then suddenly talk in a way where it seems a Polaris rep have written the script, it stands out in a negative way. It would be no problem doing the unboxing in an objective way, without saying things are good or bad, just your observations. This unboxing used "PR jargon" including words describing the superiority of the solutions, and that was what we - your veiwers, reacted to, as that is very off brand for Schock Theraphy.

    It's great to have more detailed technical content on the Pro R. Starting to realize how much work Polaris did to make this a better-built vehicle.
    I'm sure RG already has one or it's coming soon to compare to Speed. I can't believe how far we've come over just a few years.

    When you do the review, can you please give us a true outside of tire measurement for the actual width? Trying to see if my Turbo R is going to fit in my trailer before it shows up in hopefully May. Keep getting the canned response of it's a "74 inch machine"

    I have a Turbo R on order. Replacing my 2019 Turbo S with it. Is the geometry just as good on the Turbo R as it is on the Pro R? I also heard those questions talking about the Pro R being in its own racing class because of the motor size and some other rules as well. Would the Turbo R be able to run in one of those other classes with other manufacturers? Thanks for all the additional information! Keep up the good work 👍🏼

    • @emiliano_prz6456
      @emiliano_prz6456 3 роки тому +3

      Yes the Turbo R is fair game in the pro turbo class, the rules specify 1000cc or less so it’s only the Pro R that will be forced to race in the new “Open” class. And some organizations limit the width to 74 inches in pro turbo, so wheel and tire options could theoretically throw you over the limit and force racers into unlimited/open

      @@TheSatterleeTeam oh yeah. Cam bolts are cool for street cars. Not off road cars. And the link with the pivot being so close to axel cl it has so much leverage on it. And then these guys are gonna put 35” on and make it even worse. So imma say someone will make a toe kink delete kit. Gonna come with an after market link with two rod ends on it or a bushing one side with a rod end on one side. Then a insert to delete the cam bolt system. Then it will have true threw bolt. Watch lol.

    • @ShockTherapyllc

      Loosen the toe link where it attaches to the hub. You then rotate the bolt to change toe. It’s an eccentric bolt adjuster.

    Very informative, I now know why at speeds over 40 or 50 mph on whoops my turbo s starts to feel loose like I could lose control. The feeling comes from the rear of my buggy. Its the lack of toe control on my car since its just a two link system and through the suspension stroke my rear tires are scrubbing in and out of alignment. Anyone offer a complete suspension upgrade for the turbo s to bring my 2021 machine to 2022 standards?🤣

    Off topic but what do you guys think of the chupacabra racing rear box they are making? Would that be too much weight hanging off the back of the car or could stings be adjusted to compensate for that. I love the idea of putting the tools and cooler down in the box low and the spare tire at what would have originally been the bed height.
    I'm looking at ordering springs but am considering that new box.

    I just think the Pro R was designed for someone who trail rides and hits the desert. I think it was designed for someone who does not want to modify it and spend thousands of dollars in upgrades so it can keep up with the rest. I believe this unit will be able to take a beating and keep on going.

    Seems overly complicated compared to the Wildcat XX's swingarm rear end to control rear toe change.

    • @tristanhipps604
      @tristanhipps604 3 роки тому +2

      It’s more complicated but you can get more travel out of it with plunging your axles crazy amounts. The XX is on its third design trying to get them to live with far less travel.

    • @shocktherapy4820
      @shocktherapy4820 3 роки тому +6

      You may be right but a dual pivot trailing arm system has two negatives. One. No toe control so 2-3” of toe change is common. Second the total travel is very limited due to axle extension.

    • @jayjobes5344
      @jayjobes5344 3 роки тому +3

      @@tristanhipps604 25" of suspension "travel" is useless when your skid plate smacks the ground at far less. But, I have no doubt it has more travel than an XX. But, in the XX's defense, in 2018 it had components that were interchangeable side to side and front to rear. Mine is a full blown RG 77" race car, so I can not compare to stock, but it is built like a tank. I would take swing arms over radius arms ever day. The Pro R looks great and promising though.

    • @sincityduner
      @sincityduner 3 роки тому

      The Wildcat XX has axle problems and limited travel of 18 due to width. This car is 74 inchs wide. You get wildcat with 72 or 77 and axles problems go away and more travel. You look at Buckshot or Tatum sand cars and they have same rear suspension because it a 1970 IRS designed form jokeswagon and works well. Also fronts are all about same because it works for they all offer best Shock to arms angle for shock to work the best.

    • @jayjobes5344
      @jayjobes5344 3 роки тому

      @@shocktherapy4820 I will take a closer look at mine, but this comment does not make sense to me. If the arm is moving vertically on two pivots (the XX), then toe should not change at all. That is one of it's strengths. The swing arm moves vertically on a single plane, no toe change throughout it's movement range, it would be impossible to get 2-3" of toe change on a swingarm car. Axle plunge issues are real. Many in the forums have solved it by making sure the spacing is set up properly, but still more delicate than a radius arm car. (just proves that even the best designed cars have their (issues)). Of course you can permanently solve it even on a stock car by buying Speed double plunge axles. Those things are all but bullet proof.

    Not a Robby fan boy but there’s some things Polaris did that are very similar to his car double shear is becoming a thing, interchangeable parts, Beefier frame, safer and better cage to frame design, front shock mounted to the lower arm, I don’t care either way, I think Polaris built a great car other than the looks on the rear end should be a great ride

    • @sincityduner
      @sincityduner 3 роки тому +2
