Maybe we should trust the process. I look at a guy like Mims or Jefferson, I think they have more than what they've shown to this point. The Steelers are great at getting production from depth WRs.
I think Mims could surprise a few people. He has the physical tools, but he didn’t have the best situations in New York and with the lions.
@@johnmilesko9745he’s no where near wr 2 for a team that wants to contend with super bowls chiefs are a rare lucky team that has the best tight end and qb all the other teams either have elite qb play or elite wr play or both and to get both we need more than van Jefferson as a wr 3 what if Roman is a bust? What if one of the 2 goes down? We definitely need a better wr 1 or 2 or 3 if we want a really good offense
I think that is the plan and under Colbert we was the best in the world at drafting and finding wide outs that Tomlin could develop but to be honest we had a cheat code and that is why a lot of those star wide outs didn't have a lot of success out of the Birth and that secret weapon was Big Ben it is hard covering a wide out for 6 to 7 seconds while that Big S.O.B was running around throwing guys off him pump faking and he was better athlete than a lot of people understood and he had a cannon that back yard football and Bens ability to look off defenders with the best pump fake of all time and his eyes were always looking down field for that home run play

Instead of focusing on getting a good wide receiver from another team at big cost. Look what we have now as receivers. Both of our running backs catch passes. Tight ends catch passes, and we have several wide receivers already. Plus we have run capable q-backs. How many offensive plays do you expect per game. I'd guess twenty pass plays per game is fair.

Trading good experienced depth like Dan Moore makes zero sense. 1 injury and the whole team is screwed. He can also help Fautanu and Broderick acclimate to the NFL and learn the playbook. He even congratulated Fautanu for being picked right away, you need great locker room guys like that as well as valuable depth

Personally, I don’t think that they will ever trade away Moore. I think that they will even try to keep him as their backup beyond his rookie contract.
2024 WR moves were a big fail for Omar and the Steelers (the first real mistake over the last 2 years, although Najee may be #2). Why did they trade Dionte? Why did they trade him BEFORE they had a plan locked in place? What was the real problem with Tyler Boyd? If we would have pulled that trigger, we wouldn't still be talking about WRs.
I constantly keep seeing dudes talking about why did we get rid of him before we had another WR. We have plenty and even if we didn't, it doesn't matter!!! The wide receiver core that we have got to start somewhere. They’re all professionals. We know George Pickens is something special. Calvin Austin got some time on the field last year. Friermuth is special as a tight end and receiver. We don’t need to sign a big name. Guys will step up if given the opportunity. Our #1, #2, and #3 is on this roster. I do believe with the qb play, they’ll be fine.

We need to wait until traing camp see what happens here and around the league. If a team has a lot of injures to o line he becomes a better asset
You don’t need super elite recovers if your oline can hold blocks for more than 2 seconds. Which we should have a much much better line this year than last year. So receivers have more time to get open and run there routes. We are fine at receiver just overthinking everything.
Dont think were done at all...Sutton, brandin cooks, or how bout getting michael thomas cheap for red zone,using austin as a burner n work on his shiftiness and route running. Then getting xavien howard with the cap space. Or theyre waiting to june and are trying to get the media off killing their deals by showing desperation for these players???

2020 Arthur Smith Top 3 offense in Tennessee; WR2 = Corey Davis… I don’t think this offense needs a great WR2 when it is going to depend mostly on RB and TE; and the WR1…. Someone they have now will step up and take the WR2 spot…

Well, since the Steelers waited to pay and grab a good WR2 prior to the draft after the DJ trade, other teams know that the Steelers are desperate so the Steelers would now have to give up major capital to get a good WR. Ramon Wilson is now in the NFL, so he is unproven.
Muth is the No. 2. He'll play slot and Wilson and Austin will play left side number 3. Wilson is graded as a very good route runner. Connor Heyward is going to play a big role.

All our opponents have to do is double George Pickens, and then what we don’t have anybody else who can really step up. it was really unfortunate that we lost. Johnson because that combination would’ve worked

We've NEVER had two superstar receivers that didn't fight over the ball anyway we don't need drama!! Pickens can be the clear No 1 and the rest of these guys can support him as well as the run. Thinking we absolutely need another star is delirious to say the least!

Hilarious how the Kahn artist botched the 18 trade and 22 decision. Ridiculous how cheap Boyd signed. Maybe he’s not the genius we thought.
The 18 trade was a little low but that's diontaes performance hindering. 22 is insurance/incentive, he can raise his value by performing and teams know he might be available and/or he pops and can get a contract with pitt for a better price or if he stinks we aren't stuck over paying him for years. I wouldn't spend 4.5 out of our 7 mil for a wr3 for 1 year when we have CA3 who's fast and showing potential for wr3. It all makes sense

Pittsburgh offered 2/$10 which is more than he ended up signing for. He was holding out for 8-10 per year which we wouldn’t pay. We drafted a slot so our offer came off the table and after a deep WR draft he found himself having to accept a lower offer. To criticize Khan for that is a joke. I didn’t agree with the DJ trade but I don’t know the big picture on his thinking on that.
