So I just had to share that I did not have a griddle but I carefully flipped over my Cricut Easy Press and held the transfer on top and it totally cured the transfer powder beautifully - just like a hand held griddle - lol. I was also successful with a heat gun. Thank you for the inspiration❤️
No dry shampoo here...I just get busy and wash my hair every 4th or 5th day. Depends if I've used a lot of hair spray. LOVE this video!! I'm a newbie and need all the help I can get...72 and still learning new things! Thank you for all your hard work...
Thank you!! This worked amazing!! I set mine up in the garage and opened the door. I think my print was cured in less than a minute. Now if I can only figure out how to avoid roller lines.
This is such an amazing hack! All my friends are talking about DTF so I was looking into it and trying to figure out how to cure the powder. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤
Wash my hair usually about once a week and no dry shampoo but I have extremely curly hair and very dry anyway so the more I wash it the more dry it gets. Love this hack and I must try now, thanks for sharing
So, super great video. About your hair. I wash mine once a week. I already have dry skin so I don't produce a lot of oil. For dry shampoos, I've tried so many and I will continue to recommend the one by Philosophy. It comes in four scents. I bought mine through QVC a long time ago and a couple of my friends say they can only find a couple scents. Either way, the scent dissipates after a while. It's the result that is so AMAZING. There is ZERO "white stuff" and after you brush it through your hair just feels freshly washed. It feels light and clean again. I've just tried the one by Kerastase and that one still didn't give results close to Philosophy. I'm telling you... You've got to try it. ❤
Love watching your videos. Deciding whether or not to start DTF crafting. Regardless, there are still lots of hints learned for crafting through your tutorials! Thank you! Keep them coming! And yes on the ink jet printing!
OMG!! I love this, using the griddle for curing the design. Im going to tell my sisters about this and we are going to try it. I love watching your videos. Thanks for the great “Hacks”.
Omgosh what an awsesome hack !! Super great tutorial as always I am going out to get me a griddle I love this, way faster than my heat press I so appreciate all these super cool hacks you find and videos Thank You 3-4 lol I uauslly get design ideas from your tutorials they are always the cutest from there I'll scroll through both sections freebies & the plus credit ones I always check out the bundles I love fonts but they are harder for me to pick the right ones that go together
Thank you so much, Carrie, and we're so glad you found us! If you have any questions, let us know! We are available 24/7 at mail@designbundles.net! - Dawn
Thank you so much for this video. You guys @design bundles have helped me tremendously. I was worried about how I would cure because all I have right now is a easy press so thank you so much!!!
Wow! I will be sure to give this a try. I have a griddle but I use it to cook on...will have to buy a new one for this. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.
This is an awesome hack. I tried with the parchment paper that was folded and it took longer to melt because part of the pattern wasn't laying on the heat. Had to use something to push it down so FYI make sure your parchment paper is flat on your griddle.
I've been on the fence, leaning closer to not getting a sublimation printer, but this is truly a game changer!! As for single or bundles, I prefer bundles, hands down! Thank you for all your extremely helpful videos!!❤❤❤
Love your tutorials! Dry shapmoon - I use it once a week. Some weeks I wash my hair once a week, but mostly twice a week. I use Batiste Dry Shampoo Plus 6.73oz Beautiful Brunette and I cover my gray roots in between hair dyeing.
Thank you for your amazing DTF hack videos, I tried the white HTV one, and it worked perfectly. I am excited to try this one, I have a griddle that I never use, so now I have a use for it.
I haven't tried making DTF at home but enjoy watching your videos testing different options for sublimation. DB/FB was my 1st design/font site go-to when diving into the crafting world; so many great options to choose from!! As for your question about dry shampoo...I've purchased some in the past but not a fan as I don't like how it feels. I used to wash my hair every morning but now it's just 1-2 times a week. It all depends on how often you use styling products, quality of water and, sad to say, hormones. Children & menopause have changed my hair from board-straight & thin to thicker & wavy. I still rinse my hair each morning while showering unless it's just a ponytail kind-of day. You are beautiful all the time!!! ❤🔥
Yassss!! This is genius!! I just the usually do hack and just hover my heat press... But when you're on a roll those few minutes waiting for it to cure seems like for EVERRRRR.. but THIS I can't wait to try ❤
Crystal, I was watching your video on to use the ink jet printer with the DTF Transfers & the powder; I have the ink jet printer that loads in the back, instead of the ones that load from the bottom. Would I have to use paper & tape method to do the one hack that you have shown before!
I can’t wait to try this. My heat press doesn’t heat from the bottom and didn’t melt the dtf powder well. I am hopeful I can pull out my old griddle and give it a try. Thanks
I have been awaiting this video and you did not disappoint!!! I definitely will be heading out to grab me a griddle! Thank you for all that you do and for sharing such awesome videos with us
I can actually rock my hair for about 7-10 days before I need dry shampoo but when I need it I use the batiste overnight dry shampoo. It smells amazing, doesn't leave a white haze in ur hair and u don't necessarily have to use it at night
I’ve been doing that for a while but with my easy press. Lay the design down and watch it cure in seconds. I like the griddle idea… bigger surface and I don’t have to hold it in the air😅
Hi, another way to cure it in less than a minute is if you have an oven that you use for tumblers, you can put down a silicon mat and place the image on the mat, set the oven to like 250 let it heat up, and in about a minute the adhesive is melted :)
Love watching you …….your energy is contagious and I feel your excitement right through the video!!! I have to go back and catch up on this series ……such amazing hacks 😊😊 you and your team are AMAZING 🤩 🤩🤩🤩🤩. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us to up our game and business!!!!! Thank You Thank You Thank You 👏🤯🥳🤩 👏🤯🥳🤩🥳👏👏🥳🤯🤩👏👏
Love the hack. I wonder if anyone has tried using a laser printer? As for TEMU, I was told by customer service that it was TEA MOO, but then I've heard others say they asked Cust Serv and got a different pronunciation. lol. Thanks for the video!
You always have amazing tutorials. You make the steps easy to follow. I have a question.... When you did the pocket square you centered on the paper. My question is could you cut the paper in half instead of using the whole sheet? The reason for the question is because you're taping to the other sheet when you print it. I wasn't sure if it's because it can cause a paper jam.
I went out and bought a griddle at Walmart. I tried doing exactly as told, I believe it was 375 degrees for 1 min. Unfortunately, the transfer sheet started to melt! I'm going to try it again at a lower temp, and hopefully this works!
I tried using the grill (just bought one) however it melts and bends my DTF paper. I'm using Yamation Transfer film. I put it at the degree you said but definitely it bubbles it up. I bought the grill on your link from walmart.
Hello, thank you for the video. I am going to try this tommorw with my SawGrass printer and heat press. What are the settings do you recommend? Temp, curing and the griddle was going to be thrown out until I saw your video. thank you great job done.
This was awesome! I will try my griddle now for sure! I never thought to offer my designs on my site! I’m wondering if I should put a disclaimer that I’m not using an actual DTF printer or simply state light colors only…
Hi I lover your videos they are so to the point but I was wondering if you can you use transfer powder and a DTF film to heat press images on coffee cups
🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️Question.....If using an Inkjet printer, can we use the griddle to cure aswell? or how do we cure it If only have cricuit press not overhead just hover over for a certain amount of time?
A few thoughts 1) is this dtf different from uv dtf? 2) with this hack, after heating the transfer on the griddle, instead of applying to a shirt, can transfer tape be applied and the design transferred to a nontextile item? 3) if so, is it waterproof?
Hello all I’m wondering if it’s possible to cure on ASub paper wanted to see what y’all think before I purchase the griddle. Love all your videos thank you for your upbeat vibes.
Ok thank you CrystalAnn then I should just let the heat press hover over the image, I’m trying to use one of the other great hacks you showed to sublimate on 100% cotton so that’s why I was asking if the griddle would work for the ASub paper I’ll stick to the hover over to cure the image thank you for your help and taking the time to answer very new to this or maybe I’m trying to use one to may hacks for one shirt 😂with all your hacks it’s hard to just choose one ❤
I couldn't tell if you were placing the printed/powdered film on the griddle face up or face down on the parchment paper. Please clarify that step. Thank you.
Love the tutorial - excellent for storing or shipping designs! ~every 4 days, never tried dry shampoo (though sometimes wish I had it! Lol). Love bundles!
Love watching your videos and your scientific experiments. Do you have a hack to use DTF powder and infusible ink sheets? I do not have a sublimation printer and looking for a hack with what I have...lots of infusible ink sheets. Thanks
Thank you so much I haven't thought about that we would need to find something to get the ink wet enough to hold the powder then I wonder if it would release off the backing? I will look into this - CrystalAnn
I notice that on your software you chose polyester. Is the shirt polyester or cotton. I would like to see it done on dark garments. Great video. I have everything except powder and film. I will definitely try it.
Hey, have you ever tried the DTF white backing ink with Sublimation Inks for the other colors? Was just curious how its come out. The DTF inks look so thick to me, but of course, to print on black and cotton you need the DTF white, but was thinking using Sublimation Ink for the other colors might cut down on the thick look. Was just looking to have the look more closer to sublimation where the ink looks more like part of the material instead of looking like something that's just sitting on top of the material.
Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos and thank you for showing this hack. I have a Cricut AutoPress and shied away from DTF fearing that I may mess up; this is a game changer for me. Does the griddle have to be a this purpose only? I have a Power XL and need to know if I have to purchase another one just for DTF... Thank you
I have been trying this DTF hack with a griddle. When I put the temp at 385 for my griddle, the film warps very quickly. The adhesive looks cured but when I press it, the design comes out grainy. Is it because of the warping? Should my temp be lower?
Thank you for all your helpful videos. I have a question regarding temps. Since I have an easy press do I use the same temp as someone with an auto heat press? I did try the inkjet printer using dtf sheets on polyester shirts. (Following your tutorial video) It worked out great. Thanks again for all your hard work and time!
It doesn't wash out. I've done this multiple times with multiple washes in variety of cotton material and there is little to no loss of color after washing.
I tried this and it was not working for me but that may be I was using another brand of powder and film. I also was wondering if you have a tutorial on settings for a converted Epson EcoTank printer. I have heard that you should use specific settings so that the ink will not smear. The third shirt seemed to work a bit better with pressing on the front and back of the shirt more times than one. I only have the Cricut Easy Press at this time but am working on getting a heat press. I did a cold peel on two shirts and one semi cool. That one turned out the worse...lol.
Hiii!! Im just confused about if we need to print in a dtf printer or it works in any printer. I have 2 ecotank printers, both 2811, One is converted to sublimation and the other one is just regular. Would it work?
Hello, I have a question I know you use the DTF yamation film. What's the difference of matte or glossy which is better. And what's the difference between A3 or A4 DTF film. Amazon don't have much available to choose from?
When coating the transfer with the powder, would it work to have the powder in a shallow pan and lay the transfer flat into the powder as opposed to pouring the powder on top and shaking it around?
I wonder what I'm doing wrong as once I press the image, it always comes out looking 'distressed' (best way to describe it). I've done the hover cure and this cure (using sheet laid on the easy press) and both ways it's the same result. Actually the sheet on easy press came out MORE distressed than hover cure method. Any ideas? Maybe change the DTF film? Change the DTF powder or both?😩

I have ordered mine from Amazon, can't wait for it. I only have the 9x9 cricut press.
Ever try using a disposable foil pan to do the dtf powder in?
Yes, I have one with a lid from dollar store, I use both to go back and forth as I put my powder on before curing my prints.
Thank you for your amazing DTF hack videos, I tried the white HTV one, and it worked perfectly. I am excited to try this one, I have a griddle that I never use, so now I have a use for it.

Did you try putting a piece of parchment paper or a Teflon sheet on. I wonder if the griddle temp is to high and not reading correct
The same exact thing happened to me. I brought the temp down to 310!
Love this, and love your enthusiasm it’s very catchy
I love all your videos!! Ty for sharing. I tried this hack however the ink started to spread on the dtf paper, I’m not sure why… pls help!! Thanks 😊
This is AMAZING! I'm a fan.
I wonder if you washed the T-shirt after ☺ love it ☺♥ because on the previous video the colors worn out on the white T , if so let me know thanks ☺
If you cover the griddle and wash it can it be used for food? Thanks for the great video. I love your excitment!
No, because when the powder melts, the fumes become toxic.
@@xoxobitten Kind of thought that. I appreciate your help.

Hi I lover your videos they are so to the point but I was wondering if you can you use transfer powder and a DTF film to heat press images on coffee cups
If you get some dtf rip software on your computer you can add a white layer onto the prints for dark shirts
🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️Question.....If using an Inkjet printer, can we use the griddle to cure aswell? or how do we cure it If only have cricuit press not overhead just hover over for a certain amount of time?
Hello, love your video and you! Great ideas as always. Question: do you have to use htv sheets for black or dark fabrics for dtf?
Can you please make a video about dtf sublimation settings because my images are coming out with massive streaks (straight up and down) 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I second this. Not sure if you already have done this, but this would be awesome!!!!
A few thoughts
1) is this dtf different from uv dtf?
2) with this hack, after heating the transfer on the griddle, instead of applying to a shirt, can transfer tape be applied and the design transferred to a nontextile item?
3) if so, is it waterproof?

Hey, have you ever tried the DTF white backing ink with Sublimation Inks for the other colors? Was just curious how its come out. I have been trying this DTF hack with a griddle. When I put the temp at 385 for my griddle, the film warps very quickly. The adhesive looks cured but when I press it, the design comes out grainy. Is it because of the warping? Should my temp be lower?

Can this be used to cure UV DTF? So instead of having the curing oven or UV printer; can we do this and transfer the film to glass mugs?

Which do you like more dtf hack with inkject or dtf sublimation on color cotton shirt
does the powder sign go down on the griddle or does it go face up to cure?
Hello, I have a question I know you use the DTF yamation film. What's the difference of matte or glossy which is better. And what's the difference between A3 or A4 DTF film. Amazon don't have much available to choose from?
We literally donated our old griddle last week!!!
Nooooooo go back it back! 😆- Dawn
@@DesignBundles I wish I could...😅 Who would have thought...🤦Thank you for another wonderful video!
Hi Crystal. DTF InkJet Question. Can hack only be used on fabric (totes, cotton Tees?) or COULD I use it on sublimation mugs? Or Non-sub mugs?
Is that a cotton, polyester, or blend t-shirt that you used in the demo? Thanks!
When coating the transfer with the powder, would it work to have the powder in a shallow pan and lay the transfer flat into the powder as opposed to pouring the powder on top and shaking it around?
Up to 4 days between washings 😊
What is the best vinyl to use
I wonder what I'm doing wrong as once I press the image, it always comes out looking 'distressed' (best way to describe it). I've done the hover cure and this cure (using sheet laid on the easy press) and both ways it's the same result. Actually the sheet on easy press came out MORE distressed than hover cure method. Any ideas? Maybe change the DTF film? Change the DTF powder or both?😩
are you peeling cold? and if the answer is yes then switch powder or film for sure - CrystalAnn
@@DesignBundles Yes, for sure peeling cold. Going to try a different powder!
