I love his casual playing style live and that he just plays it how he feels at the time whether it be tight or slack, i much prefer music played in an emotionally natural way where the time may drift or you might hit a bum note or not play a string properly rather than a song played perfectly and over rehearsed, that’s the beauty of playing live music, something I do in my band and don’t particularly care if I might play something accidentally as I think it can be more creative as you can end up playing incidental notes you’d not planned to play which can give you more ideas instead of always playing the same riff or singing the same hook every time you play which in my opinion as a performer can get boring and is what everyone is expecting to hear, it also keeps the rest of your band on their toes as they might have to play their part slightly different to work with other instruments. This is a great tune and think the lyrics are quality.
Peter is such a beautiful person, both on the inside and on the outside, I just hope he gets over his drug addiction, that's one of the things I would love to happen the most. All those paparazzi assholes who try to get him down, eff you.
It's clear that he's a very sensitive, intelligent soul, and sensitivity + musical creativity + intelligence has been known to lead to substance abuse. Heroin is a terrible drug, but it's written some of the finest music ever produced.
pete's been in a movie recently, is set to be in another and start recording a new solo album. he and carl barat have also talked about a future for the libertines. he's supposedly clean, (or getting there), and while we may have heard as much before, lets think positive thoughts. :)
@MrKetfo Addiction is actually an illness. This man, has not got the best voice but he can strum on a guitar extremely well. He writes beautiful songs, with deep meaningful lyrics. Im sorry, you can't say this man is not talented. & I love them!!!! I do not need to 'educate' myself musically, i'm open minded when it comes to music. Just because i don't like some artists songs, doesn't mean they are talentless, aslong as they write, play an instrument & sing it well, i will appreciate them.
