Stockjudging Sheep Reasons

The following video provides you with a SHEEP REASON GIVING example which will help you prepare for future Young Farmer or Breed Society Stockjudgings that may include a ‘Reason-Giving’ speech to a judge. The videos include a live class of 4 Texel sheep for comparison and shows an example of the method, phrases and style used within a Reason Giving session.
No time limit was used in the Sheep Reason Giving video therefore it must be remembered that a competition set of results in the Highland Show Stockmanship Programme should be limited to 2 minutes maximum with 2 whole marks being deducted for every 10 seconds over time. Any questions from a Judge are not to be included in the time allocation.
