Stockjudging Sheep Demonstration

The following video provides you with a SHEEP DEMONSTRATION example which will help you prepare for future Young Farmer or Breed Society Stockjudgings that may include a ‘Stock Demonstration’ presentation to a to a judge. The videos include a live demonstration on 1 Blue Faced Leicester ewe and lets you hear an example of the method, phrases and style used within a Stock Demonstration session.
No time limit was used in the Sheep Demonstration video therefore it must be remembered that a competition demonstration in the Highland Show Stockmanship Programme should be limited to 2 minutes 30 seconds maximum with 2 whole marks being deducted for every 10 seconds over time. This time includes any time used by the competitor to examine the animal. Competitors should be alerted when they have used 30 Seconds of their time allocation. Any questions from the Judge are not to be included in the time allocation.
