DIY Flagpole Installation

Been putting this project off for a while but today we install a new flagpole with some left over parts from around the shop. Hope this helps some of you install your own flagpole and show your American Pride.

Makes a guy kinda wanna salute. Doesn’t it?
I saw a trash truck picking up the other day. There was a wooden flag pole sticking out of a trash cart with old glory wrapped around it. The guy pulled the cart over to the truck. Then he grabbed the flag pole and handed it through the window to the driver. I flashed him a thumbs up. He smiled and shot me back a peace sign.
Isn’t it nice to know that some people still care?

What Size Of Flag Are You Using On This Flagpole?

Why Are You Using Pulley For The Rope Instead Of Cleat? And Where The Topper On This Flagpole?

We have had different size flags up there since fabrication. Also we used material we had available for the build.

Did you think about using a turnbuckle to get the cable as tight as possible?

You'd think a "metal guy" would know you don't put the saddle of a cable clamp on the dead end of the cable. The saying is "you never saddle a dead horse".
