This is a fabulous video, thanks! I'm in Australia and today I test drove a Tucson Premium MY25 and loved it. As I know, dry dct is developed for sport cars, even formula before the sequential, for speed. So, for example, on the most fast version of Kia Forte named gt, and let's say its counterpart CEED in EU, this 7 speed dry dct is just great, for speedy circling and on highway, because they are more lower cars and chassis is made sporty, and in symbiosis with dct transmission. Dct in general is for speed, and theoretically dry version shifts faster than the wet version, but these systems are really so complicatedly and to some degree of perfection engineered, that it is one broad field of new systems development, so at some point you could truly neglect the acceleration on different ones, wet and dry, and etc. That said, the SUV's, no matter how much as sporty they are made, and built with lots of power, their geometry will never give the fast wind-resist beauty of lower and truly sport cars, and I have to point this is subjective thought. Мine also. 🥂
Great comment, thanks for sharing! It is true that 7spd dry DCT was made in-house by HMG and is one of the first one for them to make. There sure is a room for improvement, but the latest 8spd wet DCT and automatics are amazing!
@@CarSceneKorea Thanks for Your explanation. I have no doubt in Hyundai, and Kia too, we have had 5 vehicles from these car brands till now and they were and are all amazing and nothing else! 👍

Hello! I will be a new customer of an Tucson New Model, 1,6 TGDI 1.6, 160cp , mild hybrid, 7 DCT. The car will arrive probably in July. Please tell me how to drive with the 7DCT. In my research on the internet, I find that at a stop sign change it to N, and then when you live change it to drive and so on. Also a I find out that with autohold the gearshift it’s forced and clutch will be damaged with time. I want to know how do you drive this DCT. Thank you in advance.
Don’t put your car into Neutral unless you are switching gears. That is the old time tale, techs have advanced much then, just drive it as you would normally, but just be sure not to be stepping on the gas on an uphill at low speed. You should either be accelerating or braking on an uphill. Except for the uphills, you shouldn’t worry too much about it.
Thanks for the answer. I live in Europe, Romania and the factory is in Czech Republic. The order of the car was 1.6 TGDI 160 hp mild hibrid, 7DCT. Do you have any oficial information about the 8 automatic speed, I mean where it will be sold?
Starts from 2WD Modern trim(base) 3,213만 원 up to 4WD N-Line Inspiration trim(loaded) 4,161만원 Kindly use chat GPT, copy paste the number and convert it to your currency.
@@CarSceneKorea maybe you put coma in wrong place. Chatgpt say that is 3,213 million start price and it converted to 2,37 mil euro. For old model price start at 26000, so my guess would be 24000 eur at your location. Most i want to know old vs new price change. I hope that would be +2500/3000 eur. This would be acceptible price, so mhev nline would cost up to 40000 from 37000 old model

This car will be available in june I suppose. Some countries car model year changes in the midyear. 2025 model year comes out june 2024. For other countries model year changes in january. When I asked dealers in my country, they said facelift models will be on sale during the second half of the year. I don't know if it is only in my country, you should ask your local dealers

It'd be far more difficult to find such Tucson that does it before 5 years + 100,000km. HMG cars are quite reliable these days.
will there be a model with a stick shift? Same features?
You'd have to check that with your local dealership. It's been some time Korea didn't get a manual for Tucson.
Do you know when the 2025 comes out in the states?
It typically takes about six months to reach other parts of the globe 🥲
Hello, great job by the way ! Do you know when Tucson will be available in Europe and the estimate prices for it? Thank you

6 months from when?
Are you sure you are getting 7 dct? Seems like the NA market has been getting 8spd automatic and will also be for this model.
Is this the same DCT that was in the previous gen?. That was not to reliable.
DCT is for the domestic Korean market for now, it seems.
Can you share price range? And does there is option to change spidometer and tachometer sides?
Starts from 2WD Modern trim(base) 3,213만 원 up to 4WD N-Line Inspiration trim(loaded) 4,161만원
Kindly use chat GPT, copy paste the number and convert it to your currency.
My question is awd available still on the Tucson and is it standard on the hybrid
Yes, HTRAC(AWD) available and Hybrid gets FWD as a standard.
@@CarSceneKoreaDid you made a mistake here?
You saying Hybrid gets FWD?
2024 Hybrid had AWD as a standard and only version
Is seat memory connected with setup of exterior mirrors?
Didn't get to find that out, will do on the next test drive.
@@CarSceneKorea I don't expect it as new Kona doesn't have it, but please surprise me.
When will the USA get the 2025 model?
It typically takes about six months to reach other parts of the globe 🥲
Hi. Is it possible for you to give me the link or anything that could give me the soft copy of the 2025 Hyundai FACELIFT Tucson in ENGLISH in pdf format?
Are you referring to owner's manual?
@@CarSceneKorea Yes
How many years at $3 a gallon does it take to recover the added Hybrid upfront costs plus the 25-40% added extra insurance costs ( innNY that’s near 360$ a year extra ins )
Didn't use your numbers, but it mostly takes about two years on an average for hybrids mpg to exceed to price gap - rough estimate.
Not sure for this model but the renault austral for example its about 8-10 years.
And this doesnt include higher repair costs.
I like the H on the steering wheel better.
What is the maximum range on the hybrid? Remol hear 2020 Gas tucson normally gives 302 to 346. Lmk!
Heavily depends on your driving style and road conditions, but you will easily see it above 600km+
@@CarSceneKorea wow thats only 372 miles of range. That can't be right 😳 🤔💭 unless conversion is wrong. (id hope a minute of 450 miles of range.)
opening and closing windows with key is something many old cars have for years. if this was not able on pre-fecelift version, it looks like apple BIIIIIG update - ability to organize the icons on screen....
I have the 22 Tucson Limited. It has remote opening windows but not closing and only the front windows.
Why did 2025 come out in 2023 before the 2024 models?
How the car is titled here in Korea 😜
@@CarSceneKorea It is 2025 in korea..? 🤔
@@naronaroyan323 Just the way of labeling car's year model here in Korea. It will be available this year.
I just hope they come out in North America by Sept this year!
🤞
Could you please explain the average consume for Europe? What does that mean for us? How many liter did Tucson consume as European values? Thanks for reply...
Best Regards
you can easily covert that with online calculators. 9 km/l is somewhere about 11 l/100km
I try converting them to MPG often, thanks for kind reply!
@@CarSceneKorea In europe l/100km is standard (except UK where is mpg). Great review btw, I watched all of them. Keep up the good work!
Same as kia sportage 2019 it eat abour 11 in city trafic and about 9 outside city. On my 65k avetage is 11/100km
@@TitasPetkevicius That is a lot. According to other people this tucson with 150hp mild hybrid should have consumption somewhere around 8 l/100km
Nice car!!!!!
I would love to see collaboration between you and asianpetrolhead
I sure do hope so too.
2025? we can have it in 2025? Omggggg

Nice channel
And I am wondering if Koreans also find your channel useful. What's the percentage of viewers from Korean.
Koreans are definitely one of my major audiences. Numbers vary depending on videos and vehicles.
99% of the video was looking at the speaker - not the car. Disappointing. I'd rather hear him speak while showing the car
It’s because there are few other videos that precisely do that on the channel 😭 I know not everyone goes through them all, kindly refer to the pinned comment for other vids.
