      8:52 That comment about being right or left handed, you are incorrect that you can move the joint to the other side. It needs to be on that side otherwise your lens will always cause the camera to point down when balancing.

    Dude, thank you so much! I just got my Crane v2 yesterday, I watched another 9 minute video that didn’t really help. At right under 9 minutes your video actually helped me UNDERSTAND each axis and I got it balanced perfectly. Thanks!! Sub.

    Hey kraig! I wanted to confirm; once you have a quick release plate and first balance your cam, then take it off and want to put the cam back on (with the same lens), you don't have to rebalance it right? one of the main perks of having the quick release plate?

    Hey Kraig, just a quick question. Why don't you just leave the Manfrotto plate in place on the Zhiyun crane at all times? All you would have to do the next time is pop your camera on maybe make minute adjustments and you would be good to go. no?
    Or maybe that's what you do but for the purpose of this video, you showed how to balance it. Anyway thanks for this. Love your channel.

    Hi, there. Very nice video! I have a question though; when you're using your gymbal to film outdoors using ND filter in a wedding, for example. And then you need to quickly get ready to start filming indoors. What do you do? Remove the filter and switch the gymbal on, even though it is not properly balanced, dyou use the ND filter to shoot indoors, or do you use a second gymbal? Thanks for your time!

    Found your balancing video to be the most helpful but we still can’t seem to get our Sony a6000 to balance out. Any tips? We saw a comment somewhere that they’re a6000 was too heavy in the back and they needed to buy a lense to make it more front heavy so that it would balance. Is this the only option? I feel like we’ve tried every single position there is! HELP PLEASE! lol

    SONY USERS.....The crane needs a certain amount of weight to be able to balance properly. My a6500 would not balance until i had a 55-210 mm which has some weight to it. To use a smaller lens you must add weight to the camera rig or you will never truly balance it....none of these videos explain that as most people only care about the max payload of the gimbal.

    • @grandmasterKOOP
      @grandmasterKOOP 7 років тому +1

      you can adjust the settings via the App, so even lighter setups (a6500 + 16-50) will be balanced correctly..

    Hiya, thanks very much for this video Kraig, although I need help with a certain aspect of the device. I can balance the camera on the Crane Plus just fine, but I find it almost impossible to balance the camera once I have attached a Rode Mic or a hot shoe phone mount (with a Galaxy S9 attached). This has become very frustrating and I want to know if there is an easy fix for this. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    I'm using this with a heavy setup: a 6d with a Sigma 24mm 1.4.
    At 6:30 in your video, I have to scoot the camera all the way to the right side to balance, but I noticed the right motor always hits the bottom motor. Is this bad or are you not supposed to tilt the crane on that side?

    Just picked one of these up a few weeks ago. Couple questions:
    Do you change the speeds of it following in majestic mode or any other settings in the app, or change the deadzones of when majestic mode doesn't work after a certain angle? Still trying to figure that out.
    With this lens, is it able to go upside down without switching it to "selfie" mode first? With my lens setup I have to switch orientation if I want to do it inverted otherwise the joints hit each other (I need to stop using a cine on it anyway lol, just haven't gotten the 16-35 yet)
