Description:
In this video, raw food chef and author Jennifer Cornbleet shows you how to prepare a fabulous Tropical Fruit Tart with mango pudding, a chewy coconut crust, and fresh, ripe berries. It's a popular raw food recipe from her book Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People Revised.
A gourmet raw tropical fruit tart is much easier to prepare than a traditional baked tart. In this real-time, how-to video, Jennifer Cornbleet shows you how to create a wholesome dessert with a nutritious crust and a creamy, dairy-free pudding. The tart filling is fat-free and has just one ingredient-mangoes.
You'll learn the secret for making it thick and creamy. And the raw crust is every chef's dream because it requires no rolling or baking. It has the rich taste you want in a crust because it contains raw nuts, rather than flour or butter. You'll also discover how adding dried coconut to a nut crust will lighten the texture.
Jenny will talk about the kind of nut that is in the crust and what it adds to the overall taste and texture. You'll learn how to incorporate just enough sticky Medjool dates into the 'batter' to make it stick together and easy to form.
Next, Jennifer shows you how to shape your tart crust in a pan with a removable bottom. She'll explain why using these fancy-looking pie pans makes serving your raw food tart easier.
Then the mango magic begins. Jennifer shows you how to prepare and combine dried and frozen mangoes to create a two-ingredient, dairy-free pudding that is ultra-smooth and amazingly creamy.
Finally, Jennifer talks about the artistry of raw food desserts as she shows you how simple it is to finish off her Tropical Fruit Tart with a handful of berries that you can arrange in a pattern or simply pour over your tart.
You won't believe how simple it is to create a raw food dessert that looks like it was prepared by a master pastry chef. And you won't believe how bright the flavor of the fruit is when it's not masked by refined sugar.

Thank you Jennifer. I like all your recipes as well as your personality.
Do you use KitchenAid food processor or a different brand? I would like to buy something powerful but not very expensive.
Marzena Sztuc Hi Marzena, I frequently use a Cuisinart. I highly recommend it!

Hi, I woul like to know what type of blender did you use ?
Marzena Sztuc Hi Marzena, it is a Kitchenaid blender
Hello Jennifer! Can I use fresh mango only? I have fresh mango but not dried. Don't even know where to get it.
It will be too watery, there does need to be dried in there for the consistency.
What you can do is ONLY put sliced mango into the crust, not blended.
When blended it’s starts oxidation and dying
It looks great, but no measurements are given for the ingredients.
