- Got up bright and early on another Saturday morning and headed to Glencoe for a mountain range i had passed so Meany times on route to other ranges , decided to take on the Aonach Eagach ridge along with the two munros Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh. The Aonach Eagach is famed as the narrowest ridge on mainland Britain and has a scramble grade 2/3 . i personally waited for a good dry summer day to do this walk as the rocks in wet conditions can cause a lot of problems . As you can see it turned out to be a cracker of a day.
Excellent video, very well produced
Hi thanks for taking time to watch the video had a fantastic day on the ridge that day. Really enjoy producing the videos all adds to the days out .ATB ALLY 👍
Fantastic camera work to capture the views, and the difficulty of the exposure on the pinnacles scared the life out of us. Thank you for taking us on your adventure. Loved your description of the suicidal goats 🙈haha. 👍👍🥾
😂 those goats scared me as you got near them they just went over the side lol , loved every minute on the ridge and got good weather for it a few tricky parts and some good old scrambling thanks again ATB Ally 👍
1st class production Ally👏👏 really enjoyed that. You got a perfect day and hats off for doing it on yer tod. Footage of the ridge is some of the best I’ve seen.👍 glad you managed to get the drone up as well, some fab footage from it. The crazy pinnacles did look a bit dodgy.
Top notch Ally, really enjoyed that.
ATB
Frank.👍🏔🏴
Hi Frank, that has to be one of the most enjoyable days on the mountains I have had the weather, views the scrambling and the walk its self was just perfect . Really enjoying making the footage tried to cram in as much as I could from the ridge , thanks again Frank for the great comments Really appreciated. 👍 ATB Ally 👍
Great footage of the AE ridge, I started doing Munro’s once I retired (66) but watched all the different videos of the ridge and thought that’s no for me (feart) and now iam(68) I think it’s past me by. I still like watching videos of the AE but I’ll need to settle for easier Munro’s, keep up the good work as usual older ones still like watching all you youngsters footage of our great wilderness.⛰️🗻🥾🏴
Hi Raymond and thanks for following along on my adventures it took me a while to decide to do the ridge but found it really enjoyable the pinnacles are probably the hardest part and a lot of care has to be taken as its really exposed at either end i waited to get a good dry day to make it as safe as i could for my self as would fancy doing it in wet or snowy weather. hopefully you will keep tuned in for more future adventures. Atb Ally 👍👍
You certainly knocked it off with the weather Ally ☀️ and captured the ridge 🏔️ really well, amazing views all around 🏔️🏔️🏔️ and a nice bit of drone footage... Superb 👌 atb Brian 👍
Was A brilliant day Brian did get a bit to warm as i was getting down off the second one but what a fantastic ridge and views was well worth the wait for a good day to do it. ATB Ally .

What a fantastic day for you Ally. The footage is truly fantastic. Great weather and a great day mate. Loving this channel buddy. Best wishes.
Put this one of for many a years always had the fear as it lives up to its name but waited for the right conditions and went for it and it was an experience loved every minute and tried to cram in as much as I could to show the ridge wish I could have got more drone footage but was to windy but none the less was a great day. ATB ALLY 👍
Another good watch ....as usual the mountain vistas are amazing. And the feral goats that I normally see lower down ...

Hi thanks Colin was so lucky to get good weather was roasting hot on way down. But what a day on the ridge was superb. Atb Ally 👍
Waited for a perfect day for this ridge and we got it.Such a buzz doing this route and u captured it really well Ally, well done.😃👏👏
Was well worth the wait Andy loved the ridge walk with the scrambling as well and the views all around were brilliant so glad wait for a good day to it. ATB Ally 👍
Great vid.
Funny , I always feel more nervous watching other people ridge walking than I do walking the ridges myself.
The wide angle lens always makes it look scarier than it is and when I did it about 25 years ago I can't remember any real issues.
It is not a problem if you are a competent scrambler.
Do it in dry weather though as it does deserve being treated with respect.
Hi thanks for taking time to view the video, I feel the same watching other people's videos especially when they use the 360 cam does make it look far worse than it is. Loved doing the ridge only bit that was a bit sketchy was the pinnacles but definitely would only do it on a dry day . ATB Ally 👍
Just catching up on your latest videos mate. This is outstanding from start to finish. Best so far. All the best. Chris.
Thanks Chris really enjoyed this one waited a long time to do it aswell but was well worth the wait , a fantastic ridge walk , Thanks again for following along ATB Ally 👍
Amazing footage of the Aonach Eagach ridge really enjoyed your video m8 ,I done it solo on the 10th of June the weather was fantastic what a brilliant ridge😊
Hi Gerry thanks for taking time to watch the video , that's funny as that's the day the videos from possibly seen you on the ridge as well. it was a cracking day just the heat after lunch time was getting really hot but didn't spoil the day , the ridge was brilliant wait a long time to do it was worth the wait. ATB Ally 👍
Great vid mate, the crazy pinnacles look crazy :)
Thanks Donny the pinnacles are brilliant but need the head for hights and the no fear factor i had put this one of for a long time as would only do it on a good day there's been so many accidents on it so wanted to reduce the risk but had the best day on it was well worth the wait the views are amazing from the ridge . ATB Ally 👍
Absolutely stunning video Ally mate. I hope I build up the currouge to do this one day. Again first class video.
Thanks Alan you will mate it took me a long time to finally make myself do it , i waited for a good summers day so it was dry , it is a bit different to your usual day out but what an experience a couple of scary bits but battled on but it is amazing on a good day views are fantastic .ATB Ally 👍
Stunning views Ally, and a fantastic ridge. I haven't done anything in Glencoe yet, but will definitely save this one for good weather. Good stuff, cheers.
Hi Andy this has to be one of my best days out. Definitely save it for a good day for the views and enjoyment as in the wet would be more difficult, would recommend an early start on the glencoe mountains as it gets really busy with walkers and tourists , parking spaces can sometimes be hard to get aswell. ATB Ally👍
I was up on the ridge appropriately the same time as yourself ally (5th and 15th) first time no views just nerves😅
Absolutely amazing experience that i intend doing again this summer coming.
Hi Alistair thanks for viewing my video its a fantastic day out and you do need the nerves to do it but what a day that was you would have got the same weather. I put it of for many a year but decided to tackle it and i was surprised i wasn't to bad on it . i will definitely be back some day to tackle it again. ATB Ally 👍
3 ppl died on this ridge yesterday
Hi I just heard that not sure of the full story the weather was pretty bad on Saturday, I would only do this ridge on a good day as rocks can get very slippery. 👍
