For recognizing patterns, I know it sounds like a cop-out answer, but the biggest factor really is just amount of practice. I'm not sure if this is helpful advice, but sometimes I like to just look for certain unique characteristics in order to quickly identify which set I have to climb next; for example, if I see a cracked block in a particular location, I know what the rest of that set of blocks is as well. As for getting better at solving them, my method was to first just grind the stage myself, and then once I felt like I had plateaued, I would look for fast runs on YT, such as jamilgray77's world record run. Then I would see what they were doing that I hadn't thought of, slowly incorporate it into my own climbing until I could remember it naturally, and try to think of other ways to apply my newly-learned climbing techniques. Sorry if this response isn't very useful. I've just played the game a ton, and I feel like most of my skill comes from either studying other runs or just experimenting until I stumble upon a good idea, then memorizing the solution.
Yeah thought that would be the answer, my guess is just that i need way more practice on actually clearing the stage and not just relying on good sets that I know to drop out, especially on level 8-9 I still have to do a lot of practice. I've seen pretty much all of jamilgray77's runs (that guy is an insane btw, much like you) but still I find it hard applying his tecniques to my runs. Guess I just need to keep trying, thanks for the response!
Is it sad i made it to 145 and got crushed by a block?
You got any tips on how to recognize patterns/solve them? I can't seem to get under 4:30
