"After about 6 hours I got tired but the moment I stopped my opponent did as well, it was a tie, had I known I would have cooed one more coo for the win"
I feel like sampleing it and turn it into music, the way this piegeon speaks is really inspiring and hypnotic, psychedelic almost. These creatures are way smarter than we think, we simply fail to understand them. They all have their way of communicating. I truly love animals, the most hated ones are my favourites.
@@marlinanenomeposeidonthdar4677 they never peck first, they'll always do the dance first, then it'll go to wing slapping and pecking is a last resort.
WE have a pet dove who's been in a cage for 40 years. She USED to coo like this until we got cockatiels WHO squalked constantly. NOW that they're gone, OUR little bird STILL doesn't coo.
he sounds like he is really old and sick with that auuhg sound he makes when my doves when i was 12 years old were about to die of old age from breathing problems that is what they sounded like

His laugh and coo sound different from my ringneck dove. He almost looks like a Eurasian collared dove with his feather and neck ring colors. He doesn't sound like my eurasian collared dove either. Is he a ringneck/eurasian collared mix by any chance?
As someone who has lived all my life around doves - I can confirm that he is a mix. His ring is too thick and dark to be Eurasian Collared Dove and I am sure he is a mix
Who smokes in the house I can tell by the ending of her coo she’s sick I have a rescue and a baby the rescue cake from a family who smoked she had the same coo recently had to put her down because of her lungs
“In our country, we bow until the opposing dove gives up, so this may take a while.”

"Who's this pretty dove opposite me? I want to be as beautiful as him!"
Handsome dover
This just genuinely set me into a fit of giggles. It's so cute.
This is what it's like to own a ringneck dove. If you have a mirror, this happens every day like clockwork. It's hilarious.
I've got 3 of em. Eli looks like the male in the video. 🥰
Narcissus watching his reflection on the river water
I love it’s footwork as it does the bow-coo. Mine does that too!
I love the lil "owa" after each coo
Waited for that comment!❤

They have such a special way with sound, unlike any bird. Hearing that sound in the morning is so nostalgic 🥺❤️❤️
i had a ring-neck dove as a kid. this brings back memories😢😭
It’s ok I know he died but stay strong🥺😢💪
Really sorry to hear that );
Same! I'd fall asleep to his songs
🙏🏽❤️
Just remember all the wonderful memories and not the physical end memories are forever in your 💜❤️💜❤️
A funny laugh, then a coo with a funny fart sound at the end, comedy of the bird at its finest.
Is it attracted to itself?
I think so too
He loves himself
Pretty much a big ego
No, it's a territorial display. He thinks the reflection is another bird, so he's setting boundaries
Yes
I like it, beautiful sound 🔊
HEHEHEHEHEHE
So cute. Just make sure he doesn’t go for too long with the mirror. It can make them more anxious over time.
Yes it does. Very true. I had to take mirrors away from mine as it made them aggressive.
Doves are probably explained as "pigeons without the intelligence or pest-ness"
He's not attracted to his reflection. He thinks it's another male and wants to fight it
You are totally wrong thats a mating dance
@@prabinborah4430 sir please read the video description. The owner confirmed basically what I said.
@@prabinborah4430 It's the same dance to express dominance. You have to remember he sees another male in the reflection.

That's flicking adorable. Birds are the best. Little dinosaurs

His voice is really deep for a dove.
Very cute Dove 🕊️
from observing the ringneck doves that hang out around my house, this bird either wants to mount the reflection or chase it off.
“WHOOP THERE IT IS”
i love your bird and i am glad they coo :)
Owwww it's too cute😍😍😍😍😍... My heart is melting.
I love how this video has 7 years old but the oldest comment here has 2 years old
Omg my bird! She does this its so funny!
Oof it's actually looking for a mate
and it doesn't sound like you have a girl dove lmao

The "owa" means theyre in breeding mode, i heard it from another comment from different video.
Adorable 💕😍
He is trying to attract the one in the mirror 😂
I absolutely love their coo it is so special ❤❤
Omfg *so cute just like my gingy~*
I have 2 gingys
0:11 but anyways that’s a lil sad cuz it wants a partner 😭🕊 and it finds out it not another dove
Its actually more of a dominance thing. It sees itself as an opposing dove.
Azurehue22 it’s trying to court it though?
@@marlinanenomeposeidonthdar4677 Definitely not, see him fluffing up his back to make himself seem bigger and more intimidating?
Xaiano more like stronger and more attractive to females, doves don’t do this as soon as they see an enemy they will fight and peck each other,
@@marlinanenomeposeidonthdar4677 they never peck first, they'll always do the dance first, then it'll go to wing slapping and pecking is a last resort.
common spieces in my country but no one i know holds them as pets

Not something to make fun of.

Thanks for that share Kelly!
Wow pretty bird
She is bending bc she is showing some respect to the other dove XD
It's a territorial display. Basically the opposite of respect.
