Larkin Poe have the potential to become big stars and, if they do, I hope that they continue to pay homage to earlier generations of artists. They are worthy successors.
except not Bob Segar. he's already done his preaching. IMO he doesn't need to continue and make yet another generation of talent his antichristian puppets.
So, I'm a 53 yr old woman who's a music lover. I was watching a video of Heilung and a video of their song "Mad as a hatter" came up and I clicked on it and now they've got a new fan in this woman. Thanks for the music ladies (and, of course, the band)
The best new blues-rock band to come along since Los Lonely Boys! These sisters are another breath of fresh air keeping REAL music alive in this era of corporate bubblegum BS. Keep on keepin on Rebecca and Megan.

Such a pitty that I'm not allowed to hit that 'like' button twice! I have been to Hamburg in 2019 to met these two gorgeous ladies. Preachin' Blues is my all times favourite as this is the first Larkin' Poe song I've ever heard.
I heard them live about a month ago and really loved their show. Didn't want it to end. If you're new to these blues sisters, you have a lot of great music in store for you. I haven't heard a single song from them that wasn't good. You may also find the stuff they did with The Lovell Sisters to be good too.

These sisters and this band is just fantastic. Authentic, accessible, great talent, sound and spirt. I am smitten! Looking forward to seeing them in Chicago in a few weeks.
I'm such a fan since I 'found' them online not so far ago. Sadly, they played in my city a few years ago - wish I knew then what I know now. Top notch performers, very unique sound

I think that if Son House heard these amazing women singing his song he first would be proud then astounded at the talent of such young professional women . I think we as human beings need this type of recognition and talent to just say “ shit this good stuff!!!” And just love the music for what it is. And this band brings it every single time they play!! Amazing and love every song!!!
You can't even put 'em in the same line with Son House, he's at whole other level compare to this highly polished and kids friendly version, almost soulless sounding to me.
I'm in love with Larkin Poe! They got Soul, and that is so rare this days, with all the computer production and lyrics that are made for seven years old kids. This is music. Keep on preachin' it, the Blues deserve the effort! Thanks
bob seger is the one that introduced me to larkin poe. they totally blew me away that night in columbus. it had to be so flattering for them to have been on the bob seger tour. to work with one of the great music icons in history. i did seven seger shows on that tour, i wish i had seen larkin poe open more of the shows. including the show i just saw in boston, this past weekend, i have seen larkin poe eight times. i just cannot wait for number nine.
These young ladies are amazing! I'm a recent fan but quickly fell madly in love with their music! Just wow and have shared them with all my friends! Thank you
You guys keep up the live performing.I was a solo opener for a few Names and worked the road since I was 18 years old way back in 1971. I play every Sunday with some friends at his studio near "Longview Farm" in North Brookfield,Ma. (Another great Studio) Where Gary Wright wrote and recorded "Dream Weaver" You are so full of life it flows right out of your recordings into my heart and keeps me playing!! Love your Music,When you hit that (One Accord) that's when the magic /miracles happen, My Saying I made up is "Sing It,Believe It!, Receive It!)
That's some tasty slow grinding there! Preachin' Blues, still resonates 90 years after being recorded by one R. Johnson. I heard bassist Colin Hodgkinson (Alvin Lee/Ten Tears After) play an amazing version of it *solo* back in the 80s when he was with Jan Hammer's jazz-fusion power trio, probably still the single most amazing bass playing I've ever heard; and the band also played RJ's Hellhound on My Trail together, no guitarist, just bass, drums and synthesizer. Proof of the timelessness and also the malleability of the blues. Anyway, these ladies may be young but they have enough maturity to get inside the tune and sing it with honesty and conviction; qualities sadly lacking in much of modern music.
WELL DONE!! I had the great fortune to meet Son House in 1972 when he came to our high school to play a small concert. He was so kind and willing to talk to many of us. He'd be proud of you keeping his work alive.

Can the Internet still allow for truthful, authentic performances? These two are incredible... I'd like to urge viewers to check out their version of the same song where they really let go of any hindering constraints....
If they stay with the same backup band, for long enough, they'll get better at hitting those peak performances you're referring to. The lead singer has gotten much better, with her lead guitar work, over the past couple years, which makes for some great sounds, especially when her sister lets loose, on the slide.
