As many classic Drink Champs as I've watched. Redman, is the one that maybe deserves it the most, when it comes to adding on for the culture. Funny story, I know Redmans first car is a green Land Cruiser. When I was a teen, Redman (as he stated) lived in Woodside projects with his girl Tasha, so did I. Red use to park that truck outside of the hood on a curb and because he never talked to use we used to break his rear window like every other day. We would break it, he would fix it, after a month of this Redman thought it was a good idea to walk through the projects with a Puffy jacket (summertime) boxers and Tims. We used to sit in the park and play blackjack and here comes Redman sneering in our direction, stops in front of the park, and shows us the gun under his coat. Needless to say we never touched his car again. Redman is a real one.

When Red talked about "in-stores", you was really promoting your album in a store. The barbershop I used to work at back in the day, dude that owned it had a record store and Redman was promoting his album there. The best ever
BUSTA, RED, GHOSTFACE, E40, ICE CUBE, SCARFACE, TRICK DADDY, SOULJA BOY
They danced around the question about the LL and Canibus battle like they was Chris Brown and Usher.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don’t give a fuck what anybody says cannabis whooped that ass! 2 round KO was one of the best battle songs of all time. He had Mike Tyson on that bitch in his prime that shit was fire!! 🔥🔥 he said we can get it on on your own sitcom make your mom get on the horn and call minister Farrakhan!! 🔥🔥
@@johneta7665 I agree... Argued with me dude about that often back then. Dudes gave L the pass because of his pass but Cannibus murdered him hands down. Then they blackball him after...
LL won the battle but 2nd round KO was tough...then LL came with "Can I bus" and that shut it down. I can't believe the other host said "Jack the Ripper". He don't know his history. Jack the Ripper was the song LL had dissing Kool Moe Dee. Smh...
The Father Of Eminem And Ludacris!! 💯

I remember when I was a Teen, Redman lived up the block from me on Staten Island for a while (the mtv crib lol). I'm chillin wit my boy and a few homegirls not from the neighborhood, so my boy tries to show off like yo Redman live here he says what up to me all the time, watch this... He starts Blasting a Redman track outside by his car like 11am and Red stuck his head out the window like *"TURN THAT SHIT OFF! YOU KNOW WHAT FUCKIN TIME IT IS!?"* My boys embarrassed af like YO FUCK YOU! ..Red slams the window!.. Im on the floor dying 😂😂😂😂

When I think hip hop anytime REDMAN just pop up in my mind!
As far as the eras go I'd say 1985-2005 that 20 year period probably greatest rap and hip hop to ever be made to exist 💯✊🔥
1979 to 1999.
You Probably right but it was falling apart after 97. And all kind of holes starting in 2000. By 2005 you really looking hard for something good.
@reelspilltv From 1979 to 1984. Except for Run DMC there was hardly anything to listen to. What like 25 songs in a 5 year period. Only 10 of them still listenable. Anything was acceptable back then.
@@DefSquadFan You're probably right. I've got to add all DMX's albums. Busta's too. So perhaps, 1979 - 2009. I know real EMCEE'ing died in the 90's and fake emcees (rappers) was born around that same time too.
@@reelspilltv yeah there was still guys dropping new shit in early 2000s busta jadakiss dmx jay etc. . so early 2000s wasn't actually that bad so that's why I went to 05 just for those OGs that were still dropping it after a lot stopped or got old but I'd say still enough around that time maybe not like 80s n 90s but id say was enough to consider you know.
Nore got that slow kid laugh 😂

When red said he can't live in a big ass house bc there's too many windows and shit for sneaking around ghost and shit building up in the house 😂😂😂
