Steven Yeun is GREAT in this series!! Very believable and complex character.
Binged it. Couldn't stop watching. Zen...didn't think about anything else watching it...how often does that happen. Not often.
Love it … I was tired of rewatching the same shows till I watched beef I’m obsessed keep it up such a great series 🎉🎉🎉🎉
How is it different from regular Netflix crap?
idk if it's in the character description or if it's Steven's decision for his character to have a buzzcut, whatever it is, kudos to that decision, because Steven ROCKS that buzzcut like nobody's business. that's all i want to say.
Yeah, I was sort of amazed at how different it made him look.
For some reason I think his longer hair automatically looks so much more friendly or approachable. The buzz cut totally changed that and made him look serious and tough.
Works so well for this character.😊
Something about Ali’s outfit is making her proportions look crazy. Anyway, loved the show lol.
Loving him from the walking dead to this show. His character brother relationship made it feel very personal. That yes, I would go great lengths to be with my brother. Even if it's just for one more day.
Yes! An incredible show❤ fantastic characters
Glad they had more chemistry in the series than in this interview.
Amazing show
EXCELLENT show!
Hey I know you like to watch slowly to digest and all,
but maybe this interview would've had extra depth & direction if you had watched it all first?
Idk, just turned me off that you start out with you haven't seen it yet youre asking questions
This show had a lot of what she mentions in her standup.
Even in watching the interviews I find myself surprised every time I hear Steven speak. He's soulful, intelligent, self-reflective - emotionally deep. I didn't realize how much of an implicit bias I had towards Asian men until Beef (and these interviews). Just the fact that I'm surprised by Steven's depth of character is problematic. Asian met have been portrayed as very one dimensional in the entertainment industry. Beef was off the f**king hook for so many reasons.
the best TV Shows starring Asians
Yeun was excellent, I couldn't tell that he was acting! But for me it was clear throughout the whole series that Wang was acting. The crew presented her from the beginning (her attitude, glasses, attire...) as a comical figure. So it was difficult to take her role seriously, especially the serious scenes. It's too bad because in other programs I really liked her work.
But that’s part of it. The caricature people of that class and cultural strata present themselves at, when in reality, we’re all just the same.
Hey You Guys is from Rita Moreno on The Electric Company, the Goonies bit that.
Sure is!
