The scene when Danny runs out the house with a huge smile on his face after desecrating Amy’s bathroom was probably the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while…amazing show
One of the finest, if not the finest, Netflix original. One thing I have not seen talked about a lot are the music choices. The show beginning and ending with Smashing Pumpkins songs hit my feels in a major way. The moment the guitar from "Mayonaise" started...fuck. A nearly perfect show.
@@a.sanchez6927 I would have to concur. They definitely knew what they were doing in catering to us. We’re old enough to play that music and reminisce and go through some of those everyday struggles like in the show.
I really want this to be an antrology series! Season 1 ended perfectly for those characters, but the concept of Beef can really be explored in many dynamics.
I personally think the series is about twin flame connections. The connections is there, their life path and characters are are mirroring each others, and to be connected they need to pass through the bloodfights and feuds. Beautifully wrapped ending I must say. I don't need season 2. Season 1 ending is more than enough ❤
@joerho8470 yees! George was talking about divine twin..and I think that episode kinda gave us hint also (random clips of connected twigs on the ground) about their (amy and danny) special connection.
watched this in 2 nights, 1-3 episodes first night, 4-10 episodes 2nd night until 3am ! Best series i've watched in a while. Also Steven nails Drive by Incubus!
This was a fantastic show. Steve and Ali both gave award-worthy performances and their on-screen chemistry was off the charts! Can’t wait for a potential season 2.
What a great surprise to randomly decide to watch a show and got hooked immediately. This was such a dark yet lightly comedic drama.. WOW this was in the vein of white lotus. The song selections at the end of a few episodes cracked me wide open as well. 🤣 Awesome job guys!
I wish they didn't have to sexualize the video title to get views because this show is so much more than spicy scenes. It truly touched my heart. Obviously love the representation but my favourite part was how they truly discuss the idea of morality and mental health.
THIS SHOW! What an incredible piece of art. The writing, the acting, the music choices, the paintings in the title cards? Fumi's makeup! Something I will remember for a long, long time.
I love the ending of the episode where Ali’s wagging her finger while the opening to Self Esteem by the Offspring plays. Then of course Mayonnaise by Smashing Pumpkins in the last episode. Really clever music choices that sync up perfectly with each scene and episode. Great show.
Wow! Bravo. Great series. I was terrified of an unsatisfactory ending but well delivered. So strange that it’s totally American and yet absolutely not. 👏🏾👏🏾💐
Is the ending going to make people who like happy endings feel bad? I really want to watch it but Yuen is one my favorite actors and Walking Dead did him dirty. I couldn’t continue that series after what happened to him
I would say what feels strange or unfamiliar is that it focuses on a deeply American experience that isn't often represented in media or popculture. I would say it's 100% American, just not what people typically associate with the American "brand" or experience.
I have to be honest, I only saw "Beef" after the recent awards circuit glory but OMG...what a show! I'm so glad I've discovered Steven Yeun...what a gifted actor.
My best friend and i decided to watch this out of the blue. We hadn’t heard about the show, but I saw Steven and Ali and said, “oh this’ll be good.” And we were hooked. We stayed up till 3am watching every single episode and then went on UA-cam and watched behind the scenes and ending explained videos. The show was funny, sad, chaotic, and entertaining as hell. 10/10 🖤
What a great show. While I knew it was A24, it was still a bit unexpected how it progressed and turned out to be. A tiny bit convoluted at times, but it's all for a decent enough reason, and overall the show is just clearly above any average show average in every area.
This is the only A24 product Ive really enjoyed. The last few episodes made me think it was about to go off the rails but they were just doing that fuck with the audience thing.
@@nak3dxsnake I've not seen too many of their productions. For me, this worked really well especially at a sort of personal level. It drew its connections to real life rather strongly, even if many of the events themselves were at times ridiculous.
Some talented people there. Really enjoyed this series. And so happy to finally find another real comedy to watch. And it STAYED a comedy, unlike a couple of shows that started as great comedies (dark at times, but the best kind) only to take the shows into almost straight drama. Ali Wong is one lovely lady.
Watched every episode in a row, it was absolutely amazing. Please please please do not make a second season. It is just perfect the way it is, a cycle is closed. And what a trip it was!
I love A24 because it's such original content! Everything Everywhere All At Once was amazing. I just watched Lobster and that was an interesting watch too. I look forward to watching this show!
The last episode with the crows gave me the same feeling i had when watching the ending of breaking bad. Its been a while since i've enjoyed a show so much
I finished in one sitting. This was amazing. Steven and Ali were phenomenal.
Same here
I’m afraid to start it because I like them both so much and want a happier ending.
Same. Had to. That’s also a reason of many on how great it is
@@Hello-Stoikoit’s a great ending
SAME. well. by ep 8 it was 5am so ep 9 10 immediately upon waking up haha
The scene when Danny runs out the house with a huge smile on his face after desecrating Amy’s bathroom was probably the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while…amazing show
I laughed & screamed in horror. Great ride!

You’re the only other person who’s commented on the music. It’s so great and refreshing for a new show to use real rock.
System of the Down had me jamming afterwards
I feel like it really catered to my/our age group. It made the whole series even better.

Beef Season 2 with different characters would be cool. But the concept of rivalry/beef/anger should still be present.
Genius idea actually
It’ll get ruined. This was enough
@@Talib23401 it would get ruined if they tried to make a second season with same characters. an anthology series as suggested could definitely work
This is such a good idea!!
One of the best show in netflix. Please, as an audience we need more show like this.
This was the Best show ive seen since Mandalorian!

Masterpiece. Yeun best performance ever.
loved how addicting each episode is and how it made me want to watch each episode non-stop.
Just binged the show. What an amazing piece of work. Every character is explored, the two mains were amazing. I see Emmy’s for this one.
