I tried my best. There are tons of songs mixed in and transitions, so these are approximations! 0:00 An Ending (Ascent) [Brian Eno] 2:18 The Divine Chord 7:12 Electricity 8:53 Song For Barbara Payton 9:25 Pure Imagination [Gene Wilder] / Keep on (Holding On) [The Devoted Souls] 10:45 Music Makes Me High 14:46 Live At Dominoes (With Optimo [Liquid Liquid] and Subways [Chandra] mixed about) 25:20 Take Care In Your Dreaming 28:34 The Wozard of Iz 30:04 Hurting Each Other [Carpenters] 31:00 We Go On 35:21 Carrier Waves 36:33 Running Red Lights 39:42 Because I'm Me 43:13 The Sky's The Limit [The Duprees] 44:59 Since I Left You 50:00 Conclusion
There's so few bands that can just capture an overwhelming feeling of love and joy in their music and live performances. The Avalanches do this ten fold.
Saw them in Brixton - jumped seven feet in the air and didn't come down until the set was over! My head cannot get around how exceptional Avalanches are!! THANK YOU FOR THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE
I can't believe an old school rock and roll, punk rocking, thrash hard kinda guy like me has not only watched the entire set... but was also genuinely intrigued. Not my style of music per say... but damn creative and trance inducing sort of. Roll on gentlemen ! Nice job 🎶🕺
I have Since I left album since 2001 didn't know they did more albums or live set until I stubbled upon this. Love it and hope you come to Edinburgh soon ..this is bliss
just found out that there’s (likely) a chunk of this show that wasn’t included in this video :( After Electricity, the track list is supposed to look something like: Oh the Sunn!! Interstellar Love A Different Feeling Overcome If I Was a Folkstar and then the video picks back up at Song for Barbara Payton
I’m happy that Robbie and Tony are still carrying the passion for making their music though, cus they are still making some great stuff, especially with these live mixes
I saw them in Hamburg and was very disappointed. They were really weird on stage, their dancing was totally off as if they didn't know their own songs. It was obvious it was all pre-recorded. I mean, that's problem everyone has who does sample based music. I love their music but they really need to figure out a better live show. Justice for example really made it work!
You can see he's making adjustments to the mixer and filters that coincide to changes to the music. So obviously as its sample based, a lot of it is pre recorded, but they are doing stuff on stage with it. They aren't just playing a CD. If you want a live rock band, go and see a Live rock band! That's not the Avalanches.
That transition from Music Makes Me High to Live At Dominoes is legendary
this crowd is genuinely vibing, what a beautiful thing to watch
Yeahhhhhhhh
The Divine Chord is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard, type of song I’ll tell my kids I used to listen to when I was 15
Guys, the internet has a chance. These comments. This music is everything.
I tried my best. There are tons of songs mixed in and transitions, so these are approximations!

I'm pretty sure the dialogue is of Ann Druyan
You may be right. I'm absolutely terrible with voices, I'll just remove those parenthesis altogether
i think that’s actually Carrier Waves not ghost story pt 2
I think you're correct, thank you!
Intro is An Ending/Ascent by Brian Eno. The way they mixed this into Divine Chord is heavenly
The Avalanches made their own version of Alive 2007, and I really love it! 🌹💜
I was gonna say thissss 👾👀🙌
There's so few bands that can just capture an overwhelming feeling of love and joy in their music and live performances. The Avalanches do this ten fold.
33:37 We Go On + I Want To Break Free. So fucking good
Right!! This song is impossible to dislike. Seriously amazing!!
That’s up there with Orbital’s Halcyon with Belinda Carlisle and Bon Jovi
@@alanbowes1307 thank you so much for recommending this because i love Orbital and hadn't heard it before. Dang!!
Why is this the most fire video ever?
The transition from electricity to music gets me high is absolutely world class. I love these guys so much
But... there is no such transition. There are two songs in between.
My kids and I danced throughout all of the setlist ✨
The best thing i have heard in my life

We Go On is such a fantastic song.
I love this concert. Pure magic on stage.
the bridge between the divine chord and electricity has me absolutely in tears every time
What say in the ending lyrics?
Saw them in Brixton - jumped seven feet in the air and didn't come down until the set was over! My head cannot get around how exceptional Avalanches are!! THANK YOU FOR THE SOUNDTRACK OF MY LIFE

Hahahaa yesss it is ❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾 avalanches for liveeeeee
The brilliance of The Avalanches cannot be overstated.
I could die happy to finally catch an Avalanches live set, ugh....
I can't believe an old school rock and roll, punk rocking, thrash hard kinda guy like me has not only watched the entire set... but was also genuinely intrigued. Not my style of music per say... but damn creative and trance inducing sort of. Roll on gentlemen ! Nice job 🎶🕺
This looks like the sweetest concert ever.

Around the 4:45 mark the girl is just dancing, the guy next to her looks a bit serious, then he looks down at her and just cracks a grin!
Aw, that's real nice
Would love to have been there
Woew, Georgeus
just found out that there’s (likely) a chunk of this show that wasn’t included in this video :(
After Electricity, the track list is supposed to look something like:
Oh the Sunn!!
Interstellar Love
A Different Feeling
Overcome
If I Was a Folkstar
and then the video picks back up at Song for Barbara Payton
Saw them yesterday and this makes sense. The video set is pretty similar but I do remember especially Folkstar and Interstellar love
Awesome!!!!
Sick !
HOLLY FUCK😭
i hop i will see the perfom the live one day..
They went on tour this year?? where?? Where was this performed please put more information!!
It was apparently one of their sets at the Enmore Theater, in Sydeny's Enmore Theatre on Wednesday 26, Thursday 27, or Saturday 29 May 2021.
They do miss DJ Dexter and Darren. The Avalanches are not the same without them
I’m happy that Robbie and Tony are still carrying the passion for making their music though, cus they are still making some great stuff, especially with these live mixes
Their last album, without DJ dexer and Darren, was pretty frickin amazing!
@@thefantasyreview8709 it wasn’t the same as their early work
What song is the bell/vibe sounds pulled from starting around 24:08 ?
Fantastic ! Where is it recorded ?
Enmore Theatre - Sydney, Australia
👌🏼
Oh please please please be at Glastonbury 22 x
You got your wish :)
does anyone know the words displayed on the screen as *The Divine Chord* was playing?
They’re still missing Dexter which made these DJ sets magic.
Is Dexter ill today?
Dexters truancy problem is, way out of hand.
I'm afraid expulsion is the only answer! It's the opinion of the entire staff that Dexter is criminally insane.
nice recording but their should be more live sound mixed in, music from pa and crowd noises. That would be so sick.
2:18
Where does mgmt in the divine cord? Are they singing?
yes
30:00
43:12
Is this show available to buy?
Is this anywhere on SoundCloud?
I saw them in Hamburg and was very disappointed. They were really weird on stage, their dancing was totally off as if they didn't know their own songs. It was obvious it was all pre-recorded. I mean, that's problem everyone has who does sample based music. I love their music but they really need to figure out a better live show. Justice for example really made it work!
Their lives shows have not been the same since DJ Dexter and Darren left the group
So you think all there equipment and mixing gear on stage is just for show? I think not, these guys are pros at what they do
You can see he's making adjustments to the mixer and filters that coincide to changes to the music. So obviously as its sample based, a lot of it is pre recorded, but they are doing stuff on stage with it. They aren't just playing a CD. If you want a live rock band, go and see a Live rock band! That's not the Avalanches.
Was this performed at a Scientologist convention? That was a lot of uncomfortable white people dancing
