Bonobo Live At Royal Albert Hall

- Опубліковано 20 тра 2023
- To celebrate the one year anniversary of Bonobo’s five-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall in their 150th year, we present the official recording of his performance.
Bonobo’s residency at the Royal Albert Hall became the longest continuous run of performances for a solo musician, and the longest run ever for an electronic artist.
Focusing on tracks from his most recent album 'Fragments', as well as songs from his wider catalogue, the film also includes the impromptu moment when the organist Anna Lapwood joined the band for ‘Otomo,’ on the venues famed pipe organ.

It has been an honour to work with Bonobo, his incredible band and the iconic Royal Albert Hall for what is our largest ever live video production. Recorded on the the Royal Albert Hall’s 150th anniversary, as Bonobo became the first ever electronic music artist to sell out five consecutive nights at the venue, felt like a landmark moment for the electronic music scene that we were proud to be on hand to capture. We hope you enjoy the show.
Such an amazing achievement for him. Under the radar for years and then to do 5 days at RAH is inspirational.
❤🔥
Thanks so much for the great music!
Was there ! This captures it brilliantly… what a vibe … 🫶🏼
Was also there; best gig for a long, long time
I’ve never been more jealous of the people who got to see this in person.
Was literally coming here to post this… the more I watch it the more incredibly jealous I am of what that crowd got to experience that night.
Yeah this guy is really a genius, no doubt ;D
I saw him once in Paris, France, was with a full orchestra awesome
I'm enjoying this in front of screen as well what I can say now is that God is good.. if it is your wish to witness something alike in person i recommend you observe the stars tonight, my friend and you'll see, the cosmos is full of wonders on top of it..
@@ETz-RYANH. Bonobo full live band (him, guitarist, singer, jazz drum player) is totally awesome live. I saw it once with classic orchestra too in Paris (around 10 instruments violin, cello, trumpet, so on)
Come on now... this is what I pay my internet bill for. PURE BLISS
jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
💕
I'm alive at the same time as this. 10/10
You got it, Boet 🙌🏽🔥🗿🎶✌🏽
Anna Lapwood is such an amazing addition.
To be honest, I find her recording even better!

This is one of the rare times that I can actually say "I was there" Best gig I have ever been to! So glad i got to relive it all over again! 🙏
Same! I’m so chuffed this has come out now so that I can relive this night in all its glorious beauty!
The music is Great
Same!! still get goosebumps watching it all over again.
Yep same, I was there on the Monday night, can't say I was expecting something so good. The music was fantastic and the acoustics and sound system of the venue really took it to the next level. QUALITY 🤩
Same here! Utterly magic
You have no idea how many times i have replayed this! This performance is like therapy for me.
Bonobo's music asures me everything's gonna be ok eventually.
Those final measures on the organ on Otomo will never not give me goosebumps. Absolutely transcendental.
Amazing that it was only added as a result of a chance meeting shortly before the gig!! Coolest use of an organ ever
Seriously, I tear up everytime. Positively epic.
That was insanely cool, goosebumps shït
I had never heard of Bonobo before, it was only through Anna Lapwood that I found them. She was at the hall practicing when the crew was setting up. A part was written specifically for her last minute to play the organ parts.
+1
Soooo sick! Bonobo is massively under-rated in terms of global DJ's/Producers in my opinion. He continues to bang out tune after tune
Agree, Bonobo is massively under rated given the rich music he makes
This will be on repeat for the foreseeable future
agreed!
@@DJMag incredible for real.. future sound is here
Only GIYO 🎉
GIYO GIYO GIYO🎉
The footage of this whole concert, the lightshow and all these people having so much fun has brought me so much joy
when anna lapwood kicked in, i got 2weeks goosebumps… happy for everybody who can get this live in the royal albert hall. mic drop moment when the disco ball was alight🔥🫶🏼
what pure moment of joy and love for music in this room… Simon💚
Me and my gf (now wife) lived in Australia for two years. We had Migration album cd on repeat the majority of the time. Amazing memories come rushing back whenever I hear this music. Driving along coastlines, through forest, farm land and more. Thank you Bonobo.
Awesome. Likewiae, Migration is the soundtrack to one of the best times of my life.
Sounds lekker, mate ☀️
This just made me cry Anna Lapwood is amazing at the end
Bonobo’s live show is one of the most impressive performances in all of music. This seems to be the pinnacle of that
This is a fu***ing masterpiece
I feel like this is the full realization of Bonobo's live electronica/house sound. he's always been progressing into a more organic, live sound. not sure if it gets any more live & organic than this. I'd say it's his pinnacle, but I doubt it 🤩
jesus christ this is incredible
My goosebumps was about to pop out when Anna started playing!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As an ageing pensioner, I can honestly say this is one of the best gigs I have heard. Otomo also gave me goosebumps just listening to it with the fabulous Anna Lapwood.
She is a doll for sure
That organ always gives me the shivers.
This is literally peak Bonobo. Music can't get much better than that!
As amazingly as it sounds but it will, believe me 😊
Bonobo is the beginning of infinity.
Don’t know how many times I’ve watched this…. But it is absolutely UNMATCHED as a musical/aural spectacle. Bonobo is a GENIUS.
This Band carryed me through some rough times in my life. Thanks Bonobo for your amazing music!
Actually, same here, years and years ago. I had forgotten that
Right there with you, this music has saved my life countless times.
@@productdesign9626 i hate when i remember
I tear up at that version of Otomo every time, totally sublime
My god - Age of Phase with this light show looks so mind blowing. And Otomo with the bomb orchestral support - music doesn't get much better than this. Incredible.
over the years Simon absolutely moved to heavy weight class of musicians. top top class - very complex, intelligent music. and special skill of playing live even better than on longplays. exquisite stuff.
No words to describe. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING
Bonobo live is something else...out of this world.
Слушая эту музыку обретаешь просветление. Это как молитва у верующего. Это эликсир души. Короче кайфанул. Спасибо.
Props to the camera team, it's rare that you see such cinematic footage of concerts. I love the sweeping shots that show the whole stage.
Anna Lapland seems like one of the most lovely human beings ever… beautiful job!!
Lapwood
This performance of Otomo made me tear up, that pipe organ, thank you Bonobo and Anna Lapwood, it’s like all of human existence has led up to this extraordinary ability to create and share beauty on such a level.
Absolutely incredible set
This rendition of Otomo was like listening to our souls being faced with God. We make our music, feel our feelings, and in those moments the organ kicks in, we are reminded of creation and met with our destiny - and we stand in awe of it.
Very nice way of putting it 👏
Those that got to go to this are sooooo lucky and blessed!
This was one of my favourite gigs of all time, just the perfect combination of artist and venue
This is a show we’ll be telling future generations that they have to go and watch to see what peak performance is like. Truly incredible. So grateful this was recorded so I can relive the moments of euphoria
Went to the show, can’t wait to re live it again, too special!
Can relive on repeat 🙌
Bonobo's live show transports you to another time and dimension, absolutely gorgeous. The best there is.
One of the best concerts I've ever been to; incredible, incredible performance. When the organ came in during Otomo the sound hit you like a brick wall.
That's exactly how I imagine it. Everything else is delivered through the sound system, then the organ lets loose, unmixed, untempered.
@@OVER-bENGINEEREDwish I could have been there to hear it. Unfortunately, in this production, it has been very buried in the mix.
@@richardharrold9736 Couldn't agree more could we have a mix as it really sounded Anna's work on the organ just pales into insignficance compared to what it really sounded like.
@@kenhaines2321 Anna Lapwood's video has a slightly more pronounced organ sound: ua-cam.com/video/AdyAF9M3XVw/v-deo.html
Being there at one of these shows was the most profound musical experience of my life.
what a crisp sound. Fantastic show
Otomo has to be the most transcendentalist bass drop in existence
I played his songs so many times and seeing him with a fully stack instrumental team and stellar singers it gave me from song one goosebumps. Bonobo is the inspirational musician this world needs. Big gratitude that we have him 🙏
I'm a zoologist that has just got back from photographing animals in the Costa Rican cloudforest and rainforest. Sat here editing my photographs listening to this amazing performance. It's bloody cathartic! Thank you Bonobo for the inceredible set and DJ Mag for making this available!
Awesome
Anna Lapwood brought that home..awesome ✊
Yeaaaa
How is it even possible this clear of a recording was produced from a live show!!! Amazing work from the band and the recording team!
THEY AREEEE HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!!!!! Love BONOBO with my soul ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bonobo is the Greatest Musical Artist of This Life Period 😊
When Anna Lapwood kicked in with the organ, it must have been a spiritual experience?
I feel it just watching the videos.
Anna Lapwood is truly an evangelist for the organ and to bind it to the current times is truly an art.
... I keep watching it! Unbelievably beautiful.
It's simple, when I see Bonobo, before listening, I immediately like it. Never disappointed !
What a legendary show 🎉
I'd love an entire album of bonobo and nicole, her voice is hauntingly fantastic
The perfect stage and the perfect performance for such a skilled artist.
This gave me a whole new appreciation for Bonobo. Shout out to all the individuals artists, workers, technicians, musicians, and individuals that made such beautiful masterpiece of a concert show and recording possible. The Ending is my Favorite!!!!!!
So much talent in one place, what a beautiful performance. All of it,this show just doesn’t quit.
The most talented musician and composer I know! Just timeless music for infinity!
All of it was so amazing, and so much talent by every performer. With that said, Nicole Miglis stole the show. Not a bad track in this set.
A los que no hayan escuchado este concierto y les guste la buena música, HÁGANLO INMEDIATAMENTE 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
This is when something makes you feel glad to be alive. Tyvm bonobo and all. What a gift.
Parceeeee, que ganas de haber estado ahi!
A true composer at his prime!
What a joy it has been to be a part of his rise.
It is crazy they are still on the stage that popular. I started to listen to them 10 years go. Back then they did a lot of noise. Amazing to see them keep going
What a performance. Such a unique British artist. Huge shout from the US.
Love Bonobo and other UK trip hop and experimental acts like
Portishead, Massive Attack, Unkle, Tricky, Ghostpoet, Allflaws
Шикарно.
Неймовірно.
Фантастично.
Дякую за гарний настрій👍🏻👏🏻

That was incredible!
Im literally back here every day. The whole set is perfectly balance but Linked then Age of Phase then Otomo is filthy 🔥
The organ flourishes on Otomo give me goosebumps every single time
I've been to a few but this was the best gig I've been to. I got goosebumps all over listening to it back again. There was such an incredible atmosphere in there on the Wednesday; was a bit sad we missed Anna Lapwood on the organ on the Friday performance
Seeing and listening to this, it feels like one of these once in a lifetime, never again, hall of fame induction moments for Bonobo. Either you've been there or people will forever tell you what it was like having been there. Especially In this setting with this arrangement of instruments. DJMAG, ❤for putting such a stellar video production together and letting all of us who couldn't be there get a glimpse of how great it must've been.
No idea how we managed to get tickets but amazing to have caught this on a rare visit over from Singapore. Incredible use of an amazing space.
Travelled from Melbourne, Australia for this incredible show. Thanks for uploading. X
Bonobo was in Sydney a few months ago
This version of Shadows gives me goosebumps, simply amazing! Hope this gets released on spotify
Gigs like this make you glad to be alive, incredible ❤
So beautiful concert. What an athmosphere Bonobo create at every live!
This is the most beautiful music and performance I’ve ever heard in my life. I was lucky enough to it live, incredible
Surprisingly enough, I am here not because of Bononbo, but because of Anna Lapwood 😊
Incredible work by all involved, from musicianship to lighting and stage design to camera work.
One of those rare shows that really makes me say wow out loud over and over.
Kerala!!! Wow! What a euphoric ending. Seeing the entire crowd jumping around and in the moment. Somehow this is captured perfectly. Again thank you @djmag
MASTERPIECE.
1:19:39 Love the guy dancing here, pure in the moment!!! This would be me as Ottomo is absolutely incredible ❤
