Karlous is speaking on comedy in a whole for HBO while Loon speaking about popularity viewership on Netflix. It's so many HBO specials that have come out just in 2024 but not Black comedy specials. But Netflix was doing comedy specials the whole time we just didn't care until our icons or favorites were on there now we feel they cornered the market but they haven't. It's still HBO then Netflix when it comes down to amount of specials produced per year, just not the Big ones that move the 💉.

That’s partly true. All data maters. It’s very granular. Example.: earthquake comedy special was streamed 500k times in 4 states. All those states are in the south with the exception of DC…Netflix needs to know that. Now they can market comedians they are similar to earthquake in those states.

HBO is known for legendary quality and only features specific seasoned talent when it comes to comedy. Not to mention it's been around a lot longer. However it's reported that Netflix appeals to larger, more global audience and they offer a variety of talent from our classic comedian to the fresh talent that appears to the new age. Overall, Netflix has superceded HBO when it comes to global accessibility and their volume has been significantly more impactful.
