- I will purchase a Mid-Size Adventure bike as the Ducati Multistrada Rally is just too heavy for me to ride off road, so the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is the test ride for today. I've rode the Honda Transalp, coming is the KTM 890 Adventure and the Husqvarna Norden and Norden Expedition. Thank you to Hebeler Sales and Service Lockport New York www.hebelers.com 716-625-8744 ask for Jacque they are good people. Thank you for supporting my channel please checkout my book, "Mind Kill, Rise of The Marauder" at Amazon and Kindle. Please ride safely.
Fyi, the engine hasn't been around for a while if that's what you were saying, it's a new engine, first from Suzuki in a while and first vstrom not to have a V twin, and the TFT is not touch screen. Great bike just a shame about the tubed tyres and no cruise
I agree with you and thank you for the correction ride safe 🙂
Great review. I love my '23 DE. I got mine late in the year, so I'm waiting for warmer weather to put some miles on it.
Good for you, she's a solid machine. i hope you put a ton of miles on it. Ride safe and send me updates please.
Nice review Pete, I've been looking at this as a possible candidate. But if I can have only bike I still think I will go for a Ducati Multistrada 1200S. But a Suzuki is always a solid choice in quality. I'm ready for a new riding season on my -83 Honda XL600R until I find something that tickles me since winter has been cancelled this year. Glad to see you're doing good health wise Pete and have a newfound love for riding......life is good.
Ronnie you know we are blessed aren’t just blessed. I hope things are well with your family. 34’ no snow for over a week I may go riding tomorrow, maybe a ride next week all day. I’m sure we’re doing for another blast of snow I heard middle of February we’ll see. The Suzuki stunned me I was so expecting a heavy pig I should known better it was high quality like most Japanese brands. Please take care of yourself…I hope you can overcome your Ducati fever….its poison 😊
hi there, which did you find more pleasant and fun on road, this or the transalp?also which was more comfortable and had better wind protection?i am 5.10. and at the dealer i didnt like the too wide handlebar of this bike that made me lean a bit forward and also the wide seat made it felt high, uncofortably high.i dont have the opportubity to test ride them.
The Transalp but on both bikes the windshield needs to be upgraded for me and if your riding off-road parts need to be purchased. The Transalp just seems so much lighter. I’ll followup on both soon. Ride safe 😊
Nearly 10k miles on mine. Good bike. Is it heavy? Yup. Imo every bike ive ridden that is 450-500 pounds all feel about the same. Not a lot of difference while riding between my old t7 and the de.
The de goes everywhere the t7 went, but does it more comfortable and hopefully i wont have to worry about the de frame cracking like the t7 frame did
There are consequences when manufacturers try shaving ounces. Parts are made thinner to be lighter. I'll never own another yamaha.
First suzuki I've owned. So far, so good
Wow the T7 frame cracked I've never heard that happening before. You must really be a good off road rider good for you. I agree this is a solid bike, I do believe there are bikes that carry their weight lower like the Honda Talon and 890 Adventure. V-Strom is an excellent bike I'm glad you like yours. Ride safe.
I must say I agree with that, there's a price to pay for saving weight. KTM's dual sports kick stands are so light I've heard they snap...
.
Love your UA-cam name, be safe ☺️
