- Himanshu Pandey, an engineering graduate from Uttarakhand's Haldwani, whose father works as a driver, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination 2021. The results for the same was announced on 3 June 2022.
The Combined Defence Services Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.
सीडीएस परीक्षा (CDS Exam) क्या है?
सीडीएस का फुल फॉर्म है कंबाइंड डिफेन्स सर्विसेज (Combined Defence Services) होता है जिसको हिंदी में सम्मिलित रक्षा सेवा परीक्षा कहते है सीडीएस परीक्षा संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (यूपीएसी) के द्वारा एक वर्ष में दो बार अखिल भारतीय स्तर पर लिया जाता है इस परीक्षा में सफलता हासिल करनेवाले अभ्यर्थियों को भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी देहरादून, भारतीय नौसेना अकादमी एझिमाला, वायु सेना अकादमी हैदराबाद और अधिकारी प्रशिक्षण अकादमी चेन्नई में प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है इस प्रशिक्षण को सफलता पूर्वक पूरा करनेवाले अभ्यर्थी को भारतीय सेना के प्रमुख अंगों में बतौर अधिकारी नौकरी करने का मौका मिलता है.

I cleared CDS 10 years ago but didn't clear SSB. So I can confirm that SSB interview phase is entirely different and more difficult to crack by a fresher. 🙄

NDA/CDS me SSB interview hi sabkuchh hota hai. Hamare group se kai students upsc civil service finally qualified ho gaye par ssb clear nahi hua. Jinmese ek student do baar ssb(cds-entry) me fail ho gaya, but 1st attempt me hi IPS compete kar gaya.

Why CDS is better for the country...
1. Average age levels are lesser than UPSC. Mind is flexible and unpolluted.
2. Interview is for 4 days.
3. Psychology is also tested, hence defense officers are more honest and loyal.
4. NDA is best. 17 year old decides what he will do for himself and country. Not like UPSC....
5. If UPSC guys were so good, they would have made our country like a developed first world country...

*Anchor G UPSC conducts examination for Group A and B (gazetted) central and all India govt services .....CDS also conducted by UPSC at least u should have basic knowledge before interviewing someone...there are various exams conduct by UPSC*
