Most of the food gets wasted before it's even sold. Stores throw away perfectly good food everyday because it's 'expired'. But in reality most of it is still good to eat for days and sometimes even weeks. Also distributors are to blame for this aswell. Many fruits and vegetables with small imperfections get thrown away before they even reach the stores.
Small dents in fruits and insect bites in the leaves, etc are some of the reasons they throw away perfectly healthy food. So i wouldn't feel to bad for wasting food.

I worry about people who have to live like this. I know I considered myself poor and definitely can share horrific stories but I never had to eat trash leftovers
My kids are better off now then I'm their earlier growing years. They used to claim they were poor and i would always remind them of my upbringing
I would also say, i appreciate what I had back then anyway. As much as it sucked, there is always someone else who is or could be at a lower station in life then you.
Which is why I totally understand what the father said by wanting his kids to be better off than he was. It might not be much but I'm going to kick and claw my way up and i hope they do. So their children can benefit from previous generations. I take pride in holding that as a goal for my family.

Wow, this just breaks my heart, nobody should have to live this way. These people can teach us a lot about perseverance and gratitude. I am so ashamed because I have developed food aversions that come and go, sometimes it’s smell, sometimes taste. I think it is because of my medications so sometimes I can’t eat certain stuff. This shows me that I need to find a way to overcome it.

When we all seem to forget our lives aren't fulfilled because when don't have that particular job, the night we didn't get the chance to eat at that high-class restaurant. Even all of us are mad in some way because of food prices and gas prices going up. We all need to remember, we got it good despite all the changes we've encountered because of the Covid and of course, we have it rough sometimes and every situation has its hard times. But when you see this video and see that some humans are grateful for all and see it as God's gift. My friends, these are the richest people in the world from the heart and understanding of life's challenges
