Helpful video. I purchase IP cameras (x4) with NVR over PoE. I have existing coax lines installed in my house. To make sure I fully understand, do I aimply need to purchase x4 PoE Ethernet over Coax EOC Converters? Or, can I purchase x4 EOC transmitters + x1 EOC switch as a substitue to requiring x4 EOC recievers?
Yes, you can purchase 4 EOC transmitters and 1 EOC switch as your primary solution. linovision.com/collections/poe-over-coax/products/8-port-industrial-poe-eoc-hybrid-epoe-switch-with-poe-over-coax-technology?variant=43602204262620
Interesting video, couple of questions, 1. would the picture quality be exactly the same on a upgraded analog wired system with 8mp 4k cameras as a system using full ethernet cable also with 8mp 4k cameras? 2.what's the expected lifespan of the Linovision receiver and transmitter?
Gary, thanks for your inquiry. 1. The picture quality will remain the same over coaxial cable, as the 4K requires max 10Mbps bandwidth only, while the coaxial transmission bandwidth can be 100Mbps (reduce to 10Mbps after 1000ft). 2. The expected lifespan is much more than 3 years in our real RMA history.
@@linovision Thanks for the reply, good to know there is no loss in picture quality. unfortunately if i have to replace 8 sets of these around every 3 years isnt really viable at £80 per set, £640 in total.
@@garyclapham5482 You can use EOC-Switch0808 KIT to save some money. It is a combination of 8 ports industrial POE Switch and 8 pairs of EOC-converters. (linovision.com/products/8-port-industrial-poe-eoc-hybrid-epoe-switch-with-poe-over-coax-technology?_pos=1&_psq=eoc-switch&_ss=e&_v=1.0)
Would 4K IP cameras support this EOC trasmitter and receiver linovision setup? What 4K IP cameras would you recommend? I want to use synology surveillance system instead of a traditional NVR. Does that work?
Hi, You can use EOC-Converter (Receiver+Transmitter) with 4K IP camera. The transmission bandwidth can be max 100Mbps in 1000ft, or 10Mbps in3000ft. The required bandwidth for one 4K IP camera is about 8Mbps (H.264 encoding) or 4Mbps(H.265 encoding). So it is definitely no problem to transmit 4K IP camera videoover coaxwithout losing quality. Hi Enrique, thanks for reaching out, based on your question, If the XVR has available IP camera interfaces, you only need to add a PoE Injector on the XVR side. This allows you to load the XVR’s data link and power supply into the Injector and transmit them together to the camera. At the camera side, deploy a Splitter 1224 to separate the data and power, enabling both power supply and network connectivity for the nPoE Camera. If there are no available IP camera interfaces on the XVR, you will need to purchase a Coax Adapter to convert the coaxial interface to an RJ45 interface, then repeat the above steps. If there are multiple cameras and the analog camera input function of the XVR is not highly needed, it is recommended to replace the XVR with a PoE NVR. In this case, you only need to purchase the NVR and Splitters to provide power to the nPoE Cameras and record the video data. I have question about wiring your Long Reach Ethernet Transmitter/Receiver; We installed one pair and ran Coax Cable between the transmitter and receiver as pictured in your booklet. It’s approximately 700 feet between the transmitter and receiver. When it get colds out, the camera goes out and when it warms up, the camera comes back on. We feel that when it is cold, usually below 32F, the power is dropping between the transmitter and receiver. Is that possible? How could this be fixed? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your message. We have looked into the issue and communicated with our technical support team. The temperature data you provided is within the normal operating range of the device, which is -30°C to 65°C (-22°F to 149°F). We recommend that you further check the camera and wiring.😊😊😊😊😊.

I've brought 20 pairs on Amazon for my old hotel business upgrading project, they've worked perfectly by far!
Glad to hear that.
Is there a way to connect the older style camera to the newer style IP nvr?
EOC can connect the analog camera to IP NVR.
Can it do ptz cameras too ?@@linovision

Thank you so much for your kind words! I appreciate your support and I'm thrilled you found it helpful!
I have a question about Access the GUI of camera and is it possible to tilt PTZ
yes, it is no problem to access camera GUI and control the PTZ movement. The transmission over coaxial cable is transparent in the system.
Excusas, the camera is Wifi to. But I need connect by Ethernet cable to VVR system. Thanks

Regards,
Hi how do you get power to camera over audio cable between the EOC Converters
Simultaneous transmission of AC signals and DC power over a single coaxial cable using power overlay technology
Hello, I want to upgrade my analogue coax system to IP, will these converters work with 8MPx cameras which use a lot bandwidth?
yes, I believe so. the transmission bandwidth is 100Mbps in 1000ft, or 10Mbps after 1,000ft, which is also sufficient for one 4K POE IP camera.
Is it worth it to uograde or run new cat6 cable?
