Furthermore, in the Zyu2 footage of Octophantom, the green ranger doesn't join the battle. So any scene that features the monster with the green ranger in shot is American footage. And all the episodes from here to when they exhausted all the Zyu2 footage is going to about Tommy's power being slowly drained. But this *Green No More* arc isn't always going to be about Tommy, there will be episodes where Tommy will share the limelight with other rangers like this, when Jason and Billy get the most highlight of this episode, along Tommy.

It's so easy to focus on Tommy losing his powers that it's hard to notice how much better the other 5 Rangers are becoming. So far, Billy has never been more on his game than he was in this episode.
This episode planted the seeds for the departures of Zack trini and Jason that happens later on this season
Loved this episode, and the music Bulk & Skull is the comedy duo of this season love them together, sad that we didin't get a spin off with them. Love that Nikki is wearing Pink, and Monty is wearing black. I love Zedd this season. The music was amazing too.
The only bit of the early attempts at shooting US Thunder Megazord fighting the Zyu2 monsters was used here! Apparently out of all the footage they shot the punching shots were the only usable ones out of the whole thing.
But of course much later in the season we'll see more US Zord footage, and then especially at the start of Season 3!
The Zords for me are as follows for Pokemon Rangers:
Tommy: Dragonite, Raikou (Raging Bolt proves this further) and Talonflame
Zach/Adam: Mamoswine, Luxray and Politoed
Kimberly/Kathrine: Aerodactyl, Moltres and Fearow
Billy: Bastiodon, Rapidash and Suicune
Trini/Aisha: Persian, Altaria and Bewear
Jason/Rocky: Tyrantrum, Red Gyarados and Rillaboom
PS: When we reach the final episode of this Green No More story arc, I've got to say that we could had a literal crossover with Zyuranger and Dairangers if the Dark Rangers used the Dairanger costumes instead of the gimp costume they made those five bullies (which include the friend of Adam Steel in the would-be Cybertron show) wore.

With season 2, while they had new challenges to face during the production of the season, the writers, producers, cast members, editors, and everyone behind the scenes knew what they were doing. Season 1 was really about figuring it out, because something like Power Rangers had never been done before. Also, creating Lord Zedd really freed the writers up because in terms of the villains, they were no longer hindered by the Sentai footage. They no longer had to match what Zedd's plan for the episode was to what his Sentai counterpart was doing in the episode they were taking footage from, because he has no Sentai counterpart. Whereas, with Rita, they had to keep with what Bandora was doing on screen in the Zyuranger footage.
In episode 44 they never used most of Bandoras footage for that episode. The lion/goat monster one, Goatan. I think they only used some of the monster growing scene and that's it. In Zyuranger you see Dora Chimera in BandoraPalace. And in the Zyu2 episodes, they had no Bandora sentai footage. Only the sentai and extra footage that they already had.
Another great reaction. I love watching you. Too bad it's only once a week. In my opinion, season two of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the best. I'm looking forward to the next episode. ❤👍

They had the green ranger power arc in season 1 as well though. They just didn't mention it every episode.
Also it's easy to say Rita is more repetitive when you're in the early episodes of S2. It's not a fair comparison. Yes there was a lot of monster of the day plots but there were other plots. There are times in S2 where Lord Zedd creates a monster that's related to what the rangers are doing as well. Guitardo, the magnet monster, the trumpet one. The stag beetle from the poster of the competition they're in I believe. Just because they would focus some of the episode on tommy in s1 doesn't mean they're some of the worst episodes, that's subjective. Plus the other rangers already had more time to shine than him because tommy didn't show up until episode 17 and isn't in every episode for the rest of the season either. I dont know if they still read the comment sections, I'm just saying. Some of the information they say is incorrect.
Another excellent reaction video. There are 4 Ron Wasserman songs I really like besides the original theme and the extended theme. One is Go Green Ranger Go, another is We Need A Hero. The other 2 you have not gotten to yet. One has to do with the color white and the other is from season 3, it has to do with giant birds. I don't want to say the titles because I don't want to give it away for Nicki.
Fight and I know a place are top tier for me. And we need a hero and go green ranger as you mentioned.

I love your reactions to power rangers. I subscribed to this channel for almost a year now and I really look forward to your reactions to the full power ranger franchise. I loved Power Rangers from Mighty Morphin till RPM, but lost interest in the newer ones because it wasn't so good based on the acting and storylines. But Beast Morphers is actually cool

MontyVerse and Nicki, That was a fantastic and an awesome reaction of Season 2 episode 8 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that is titled the Power Stealer. Also, Tommy, Kimberly, and Jason did took on the Putties in both the Unmorphed and Morphed Fights. Also, Billy was smart in finding out the OctoPhantom's Weekness and he did save Jason from the OctoPhantom before he tried to steal Jason's Powers and Billy did took care of the Putties and free the other Rangers. Also, The Rangers did face off against the OctoPhantom with the Thunder Megazord and the Thunder Megazord took care of the OctoPhantom with the Thunder Saber. Also, I am looking forward to the reaction of the 9th episode of Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that is titled the Beetle Invasion that features the debut of Richie. Also, A Couple of Questions to both you and Nicki, Did you enjoy both the Unmorphed and Morphed Fights in episode 8 of Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? Two fun facts this time:
1. Lord Zedd really got aggressive in stealing the Green Ranger's powers. Considering he was already at or at least 40%, the power drainage dropped to between 25% and 30%. That's why he couldn't even stand up straight when Billy saved him.
2. According to unused Zyu2 footage, there was no Green Ranger. Every was followed to the letter, except Jason's fight with the Octophantom was longer.
The Zyu2 Unused putty fights look better to me than their American counterparts. And because of the sunny background in some of them in my opinion.

Another great watch a long guys. Monty when you said "My man Jason is like 'Oh nope, screw you guys I'm out of here'" I had to pause the video because you made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. Also to answer the question what part of the Octophantom is the elephant it's the trunk under the face. Also I'm rewatching seasons 1-3 of Mighty Morphin to give me ideas for my own power ranger fanfic I'm writing. my idea of my fanic is that everyone comes to a reunion & in the middle of something zordon says there's a dire emergency and he means dire so the rangers tell their kids to stay with their aunts and uncles until they get back. Them when zordon fills them in he tells them that based on their age they might not be able to withstand the full battle but Jason tells zordon they'll take the risk so they morph & fave the new monster made from scorpio and in after they form the ultrazord things go bad and the ultrazord loses power so the rangers are teleported to the command center and one of the rangers asks what to do so zordon says he was prepared for this so he teleports the kids & explains the situation to them and we get the passing of the torch to the mmpr powers. here r the couples: tommy & kimberly with their kids jj & luna, jason & emily with their daughter harmony, trini & billy with their kids minh & iris, finally zack & jessica with their son atticus. The main villain is Scorpio the son of Goldar & Scorpina.
No real notes from this episode - a lot of the interesting parts you guys mentioned during the reaction such as Billy's fighting progression, and decent character moments across the board for the Rangers and Bulk and Skull.
I think this is the first time we've seen a Ranger force teleport another Ranger back to the Command Center. I don't know if it's happened before or if it'll happen again.
