The SP-555 has some of those same commands & when I use it the manual is always pulled up on my iPad for quick reference to remember how to get around 😅
Well, it is indeed a dilemma. But not concerning the machine. It is further a dilemma of our digital society. Roland reps have to sell hardware products. And to do this they have to keep users interested. How to keep a user nowadays interested? Yes, you have to add things and things to the product, so they add update after update wether it's useful or not. Important is that they have to say something new. It's not about capability ... it's about keep the attention level of the customers high. Feed them.
There actually is a bit of logic behind the way the short cuts are accessed. Like it never asks you to hit three keys at once. You enter a mode with two keys and then the third key sets a value. I feel like people complaining about dope new features being added for free should just use a DAW. You're not obligated to use the new stuff. Compose your stuff with the basics and if you think there's something missing, go online and check if it has a way to do it. A little elbow grease goes a long way. Read the manual with the box in front of you. It will reward you dearly (it's funny I'm defending the sp404 when I've got beef with Roland.. 😂)
Mv is not overpowered, the user is under knowledge, Roland has never updated their products to there capabilities the need to update the UI if there is enough room! Look at the fatom. It is not really a workstation. I am pursuing a VLab to use with my MV!
@@TheRealGordonBlu if they got rid of the circle around the screen they could have made it 25% bigger. ya it's an upgraded screen which is cool just tiny for hours of work and the circle causes a glare on the edges... instead of 6 FX buttons they could have fit 12... and the master volume could be moved and had another useful knob and all top knobs should have been encoder button knobs too... cold have possibly added another four top knobs too... all staying the same size... maybe they make an MK III in a couple years haha...
12:31 damn brother i barely figured out the damn double combos😢😂😂😂

they could of made the screen a bit bigger added more buttons and made all the knobs encoder knobs... on the 404
They changed the Screen didn’t they?! AMOLED, & the only way to add buttons is to lose portability. So explain what you mean…i want to understand.
