As I've been following along with this series I've been exporting my Houdini sims and animations as Alembic and then importing them to Blender, adding my shaders/camera etc there and rendering with Cycles. Tutorial number 8 will show you how to export in 2 minutes.
Hmmm... any chance to render the “same look” on iMac? Unfortunately noCuda support cause of Radeon 575Pro... so it would be great to have also a Mantra materials/render tutorial.
what about karma i know it is still in development but i hear it is faster than mantra by miles and it is in a good shape to render with and i saw some videos importing their scene to USD and it was not very hard but rather easy
Heyhey, I'd agree on some of those statements but not on all. Karma might be okay for basic rendering but imho is far from being in good shape. We'll consider covering it in the future though. Cheers, Mo

awesome, thank you.
can this be done in mantra?
can be rendered in unreal?
For some reason all my renders out of redshift are in black and white does anyone know how to solve this?
I have the same problem
is it available redshift for 18?
Does redshift or renderman have any demo version as a student I'm using apprentice license . So third party renderer are not for me I guess ? 😕
No third party render engines in apprentice. You'll at least need Houdini Indie for that. Cheers, Mo
