Hi everyone! For those of you noticing a yellow bar at the bottom of the Kindle Colorsoft screen, I did reach out to Amazon support to ask them about this issue and if there's a fix. An associate said that there will be a firmware update fix for this within the next two-ish weeks.
the glasses and cardigan are slaying!! i love the idea of the color e-ink but i just got my ereader last year, i can’t justify switching yet 😭 maybe one day!!
Cass, thank you!!!! It truly is so expensive and honestly I think in a few years they'll really improve on the quality of the color-ink by then and it'll be ready for ya!!!! I swapped from an Oasis so I felt like I really upgraded haha Thank you for watching!

In Canada you cannot send books from libby to a kindle sooo for that reason and because I already have the paperwhite aaand because of almost everything else (especially the annotating) I think I would go for the kobo next :)

Hi Subha! Just wanted to drop in an mention the Kobo does have a dark mode, its just hidden in the settings toolbar (beside the fonts I think, just tap the cog). Thanks for an insightful video! I just ordered a colorsoft after having the kobo clara for a short while, I just wanted the bigger screen and also I couldn’t let go of Kindle Unlimited! Much more appealing book options compared to Kobo Plus.
Lexie, thank you for correcting me! I had no idea about Kobo's Dark Mode. This is great. I agree with you. KU is SO GOOD compared to Kobo Plus which is why I was excited to upgrade my Colorsoft from an Oasis. I hope you love your Colorsoft!

I have a question about the color version released this month. I'm new to e-readers and planning to buy one. My question is: Are there currently colorful comic books available on Kindle? Previously, they seemed to display only in black and white. Will this new device allow all comic books to be viewed in color using Colorsoft?
Hey! You might need to ask Amazon support this question to confirm but I am pretty sure comics will come in color based on the Kindle's Amazon page description!
I have another question: If a comic book publisher releases a colorful comic book, will it still display in black and white in old device? but with this colorsoft the already released colored comic book will be colored version? or only the books that are going to release in color only have colored version?
If I had to guess that everything is transferred to color, because when I linked my Kindle Account from Oasis to Colorsoft, all of my personal books I purchased prior to getting the Kindle Colorsoft are not in Color on my Colorsoft! I would confirm with Amazon Support though so I'm not lying to you haha Sorry I'm not much help!

There is a dark mode on the kobo colour. Go to the gear, first page is reader settings, use the button to go to the second page, tick dark mode.

I returned my Colorsoft for this exact reason. Considering a different option such as the Boox go color 7.

I seldom use the Kindle's lighting & use mostly available light, daylight or lamplight. Is it difficult to read the Colorsoft by available light?
I don't think it's difficult because you can auto-adjust the the kindle colorsoft's lighting, so it can help you read better!
