- The name of this tiny and beloved bird - "house wren" - is associated with its tendency to nest around human houses or in birdhouses. Very active and inquisitive, jumping up and down with short tail up, pausing to sing a rich gurgling song. The house wren loves to destroy the eggs of other birds nesting in hollows. Despite the lack of bright colors various forms of wren family are found across the North and South America - from central Canada to southern part of Chile.
