Sitting in my hairdresser's chair I feel as if I was on the psychologist's couch. We talk both about the stuff that's bothering me and all the little nothings that make me happy. I walk out relieved and also with a better hairstyle. But it's too easy to take a pleasant barber experience for granted. To remind everyone that they are people (and therefore entitled to a shitty mood) too, we have collected a list of hilarious hairdresser memes. I've never been a chatty person. I will talk if they try to make conversation, but I always feel awkward. Even though I talk to people on a daily basis for work, I feel like I still have an awkwardness to me because I just hate conversing with people I don't really know. I guess for the fear of seeming weird? But being awkward also makes me weird so I can't win, I guess. Lol

Also for a couple months now I've been working as an apprentice in a dog grooming salon and a few of these issues are very similar. Like how busy Saturdays are, and when you give clients specific times that are open and they ask for a different option than what you gave them, or when they ask if you can squeeze in another groom at the end of the day xD

You know that feeling when you wish your hair was like Rapunzel's? Long and flowing, but at the same time you wish it was "Eugene just cut it all off" short and light?
That's why I like mine to be just below the shoulder. Enough to work with, without feeling like I'm using a whole bottle of shampoo and conditioner in one shower.

Okay, I know with a “bob” or a “long bob” the bob part relates to the length, but how hard is it to understand “keep the length but like a bob” you know - curled at the ends like with bob features, and kind of poofy? Is that really hard because apparently my hairdresser thought that was hard.
I hate in when hairstylists make excuses on why they can't do my hair a certain way...by saying it looks like a wig. Even after I show them other pictures that clearly aren't wigs. They are just lazy and unprofessional. If that is said to you, go somewhere else. When I left and showed the same pictures to another stylist, he made no excuses and my hair came out amazing

I usually go to a stylist and say "I like this hairstyle. Can you do something like that to my hair?" They will say yes even if they can't. Whether it won't work for me or they just can't do it, I don't know but they try and fail. i am currently unable to find a stylist who can cut my hair the same length on both sides. It comes out uneven every time and that s very irritating.

Those sinks for the hair washing are very awkward on the neck though for me. I promise I'm not trying to lift my head, I'm just trying to get in the right spot. Also...I told my hairdresser I wanted my hair right at my shoulders...I left with it maybe about an inch beneath my ear. I wasn't happy but I'm also not rude. It will grow back, but ugh. She asked if I had wanted to donate it, I asked how much I had to have to do so before she cut it. She told me it would be to a certain spot on my neck (which I was uncomfortable with) and then she literally cut it there anyways even though I said at the shoulder. :(

I'm someone who cuts my hair once every 2-3 years when it gets to my waist, and leave it in a braid most of the time, then tell the stylist to "whack off like a foot or something and donate it, i dont really know what i want do do after that but as long as i can use a headband or pony tail just do whatever" and tell them if someone needs some training or practice with thick, curly hair have at it XD my hair is hard to mess up since the curls just cover everything LOL

Some ppl doesn't want to bleach their hair, but their hair is black or dark colour. I got a salon friend said that, mostly he wish he could say this to customer : Why dont I go out and buy some paint, cut your hair into this shape first and I will use the paint on your hair! So you don't have to bleach and if you want shine like that , I can put on some hair serum for you.
But nope, he can't, because have to explain to customer even they were wrong.
I hate getting my hair cut. Mainly because its hipl length and when I ask them to layer it a little bit they cut it down to like above my boob. Even when I went for a slight trim, I would specify how much and they would still cut off half of it.
That would be why I started just trimming my own. Last time I went to a hairdresser they hacked off four inches of it despite me showing, with my fingers, exactly how much I wanted trimmed.

Usually they do it because they think your hair is too long and harder to manage. It’s best to go to Sally’s and buy hair cutting scissors trims are actually really easy.
@@TheCookieArt a hairsytylist does a service cutting your hair. they have no business thinking it might be too long, unless the client says "do whatever you want" they are supposed to do what the client asks for (or as close as possible). If i had hip length and they cut to bust length without permission i would not pay for that.
blubbness well they can think it’s too long because that’s their thought. But usually they cut what they see fit. Yes it is your hair, but when you put it in the professionals hands they can chose what they think is best for it, you may disagree. And if you do you should cut it yourself or find someone who will cut as little as you want.

I paid more to my stylist because she liked to go along together with me to do experiments on my and my sibling's hair (to practice, we always bring magazines with unique cuts which we wanted) she was pretty nice and I never blame her if it didn't come out similar, because she tried to fit the cuts to my face which was a great thing as a hair stylist!
